I've never been on one either, so I'm super excited! I am going with my best friend, her mom, and her mom's best friend. It is a 7 day Eastern Caribbean to Nassau, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten. :smile1:

Oh my, you will love the cruise Sara, I have been on 2, I have been to St. Thomas, I aslo stayed on St. Thomas for 7 days, right on the beach, it was wonderful ,the people are all very friendly, cruise days are crowded but there are tons of beaches to go to, we stayed in the Red hook area, other side of the island, I have gotten some great deals on jewelry, I wanted a few discreet things and got them very reasonably, St. Martin, we spent the day at Dawn Beach, it was fabulous, very tropical and deserted, so it made for good snorkeling, although I found some great snorkeling on St. Thomas in the Red Hook area, are you going Carnival or Royal Carribean, Royal always has the front space in port, Carnival the last usually, wait till you see how huge these ships are in port, gargantuan! I have cruised both and actually like the liberally served food on Carnival, there were choices at all times of the day, Royal, sometimes it was room service or starve waiting for the eateries to re-open, that would be the only complaint I had with Royal, other than that the ship was great, very clean, well both were! They would be out touching up the paint during the day while we were in port, they pick up lots on supplies in St. Thomas food wise! Hope you have a great time!

I just went on Royal Caribbean in July to Mexico. The food was soooooo good. One thing I learned on this cruise that I didnt know before. You can order as much food as you want for dinner. For example you can order 2 salads, 3 entrees, and 4 desserts if you want, or you can do what my husband and I did one night and just ordered the entree and dessert. Whatever you order they bring you! And if you drink, remember the drinks are REALLY expensive. You'll have soo much fun!

At this point, I am beyond excited! We're going on Carnival... And, well, I'm definitely all about the food. I've been forewarned to avoid the drinks on the ship due to extreme prices, but that wont stop me from delving into the local brew (with my BFF's mom, my new drinking buddy). I'm avoiding shopping very much for the cruise. I can't see myself spending the week in much more than swimsuits and sundresses... I'm also stocking up on Dramamine and hand sanitizer. We are not planning on signing up for very many (if any) excursions, opting instead to wander and explore on our own.

I'll be bringing my Canon Digital Rebel with me, so expect many pictures of my (mis)adventures in the near future! :laugh5:

Thanks all on the puppy congrats, he is just 9 weeks and really a good little boy! He is trying really hard to fit in, he is doing fair with the potty training but it has been jst 24 hours, he is friendly and actually fairly outgoing considering all he has been through the last 24 hours.... :teeth1:
