I recently saw a DVD all about John's life and music called "The Messenger." It has a black and white cover of John, I think it was one of Astrid's shots, but I'm not too sure. Anyways, has anyone seen this? Is it worth buying? Thanks!

I have it. I don't think there's anything on there that isn't on another, better DVD. There are no Lennon or Beatles songs, but there's one tribute band's song that they play over and over again (it really annoying how the singer tries to sound like John). The picture keeps rotating back and forth diagonally, too.

The footage is alright, but I wouldn't recommend buying it. Spend your money on a better DVD.

Thanks a lot! That saves me some money! I HATE that when they don't have the real songs DVD's.
Too bad there's nothing new, I would have liked some new John footage, lol!

I thought the beginning was quite interesting tho. They show newsclips from that horrible day in 1980, but I agree with lennon4. It's not worth the money.

You can rent it from Netflix.com tho and check it out first!! images/icons/smile.gif
