That could be tough, Sarge. AHDN was released by Miramax, a unit of Disney, and their legal is full of notoriously big SOBs when it comes time to sending out C&Ds on people. I had an associate that worked at Miramax years ago (before the Copyright Wars really started to heat up) who had to threaten the producers of the TV show SOMETHING IS OUT THERE because they had to protect their intellectual property for the otherwise-dismissed-by-the-release-company THE HIDDEN. They even sent out letters to theatre owners back in 1991 who thought they could drum up business for their film ARACHNAPHOBIA in light of Saddam's last big foreign adventure by spelling the title IRAQNAPHOBIA; apparently, that was a TM violation and they rode the Golden Hoarde over their butts for that.
If there are wav's and the like out there, look fast; the Mickey Mouse Club is notoriously nasty when it comes to stuff like that floating about.

So...um...let's just say, hypothetically, someone was thinking about making some AHDN sound files and posting them to a web site. Bad idea? http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/blush1.gif

Tres! You never want to be the recipient of a Disney C&D. Those things can peel paint off the wall if you leave it on your monitor for a few minutes. If they can't get you, they'll go after the site that holds it for contaning copyrighted material, and that just makes it miserable for everyone else around you.
My advice for that hypothetical someone wanting to snip-n-clip from AHDN: Don't! The agitas isn't worth it. Sorry, but that's the way the Copyright Wars are fought, with a lot of pain and nastiness.

That's a good point...and that's one reason I almost wish Miramax doesn't acquire the rights to "Help!" anytime soon. Though a "Help!" reissue would be cool, if Miramax gets its hands on it and starts snooping around, it would most likely spell the end of my site. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/frown.gif

I could see why, Eastern. Which would be a damn shame too; I followed your link to it, and I think it's a great tribute.
The page is well laid out, and has some nice interesting content. I had no idea Frankie Howard was involved with the movie until I read your "Deleted Scenes" section; Lord, he looks a lot younger than he did when UP POMPEII was shot. The only thing I wish you had there was a set of theories as to how the beards they got from makeup which they wore before the Bermuda sequence would be so dead-on similar to the facial hair they actually did grow by 1970...
Don't worry, I'm not about to narc on you to anyone out there. I think sites like yours actually do more good for than harm to the property discussed thereon. I may have to fight the Copyright Wars, but I'm not about to provide intelligence to some of the fools who tend to seriously lack it...
