We've already talked about the "A Midsummer Night's Dream" skit that the Beatles performed. What about the other one (where George is a woman, John a villian, Ringo is snow, and Paul is a guy). I've seen pictures, but nothing else. Is this one on tape somewhere, too? What happens in it? Share the knowledge with those less fortunate, please! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

It looks like they might have been doing some kind of traditional English Christmas Pantomime thing...but I'm not sure. Never having actually seen one of those, I am only speculating...anyone have any other ideas?

Oh, I don't have any on the computer. I've only seen the picture on my Beatles cards and some magazines. I don't know if it was another Shakespeare or not, but they were definitely acting for a play (for Chirstmas, I believe). If I come across a picture on the net, I'll post it.

Gee, that didn't take long. I typed in "Beatles Christmas show" in google.com. Several matches came up, including this one:

Beatles Christmas Show 1963 (http://www.fortunecity.com/tinpan/ash/618/xmashow63.htm)

Here's one of the pictures:

Now I just need to find out the scoop. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

I'm surprised this was never filmed and recorded. It's good we have the still photos and there are people lucky enough to catch the Beatles' show in 1964-64, but I wonder why this was never filmed live.

Especially since the Beatles were constantly being recorded somehow. You'd think something like this would've been recorded. I'm surprised that the money-makers didn't see this as a selling opportunity.

I think she means that old fashioned nightcap thingy he was wearing when he was the Man in the Moon in the Pyramus and Thisbe sketch. That's the one where John wore those fetching blonde braids.

Yeah, I've seen it, and I knew it was a nightcap (so cute). I guess it could be mistaken for a joker's hat...http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

Those were great pictures. I liked George the best in the Midsummer Night's Dream skit,
And I have to admit Ringo was a cutie as "Snow" in the Christmas skit.
