My kids, including the 2 year old love Yellow Submarine. Anyone out there with younger kids watching Beatle vids?

I used Beatle songs as lullabyes for my infant cousins. A "game" was "find the Beatle," where I'd have the kids "show me John," or whoever and have them identify the Beatles at different ages and stages. It's a fun game I made up called "Find the Beatle."
Expose them to lots of Beatle music - it's good for them.

HAHA... that is exactly what my mom did with me, but I said everyone was John until I was 8. Now I do it with my lil' sister and brother. My brother is turning 4, his favorite is Paul and he LOVES the Beatle cartoons. My little sister, who is 7, is in LOVE with Ringo, when she talks about him she refers to him as "My baby Ringo."http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/laugh5.gif It is soooooooo cute! She always cracks up at the scene in Hard Day's Night when John is in the bathtub and George is shaving the mirror. The Beatles are the kind that will just never go "out of style" they will be loved for many generations.

I introduced my daughters to the Beatles when they were real young. All three of them simply love the Beatles. Yellow Submarine and Help! are their favorite Beatles movies.

It was actually the movies and cartoons, NOT the music, that first got me interested in the Beatles. AHDN was the first video my family ever owned, and I watched it constantly (partly because it was the only one we had for a while)! And Help! is also terrific for kids.
I was also lucky enough to see the Beatles cartoons on MTV in the 80s, when I was 8 or 9 years old. If not for my family members introducing me to the movies & cartoons when I was young, I doubt I would be as big a fan as I am today. And if I have kids, I definitely plan to expose them to the Beatles at an early age!

Little ones LOVE the Beatles! Some of the 3 year olds in my classroom recognized the "Yellow Submarine" song when it was on the radio the other day. We've listened to almost all the Beatle albums during morning playtime (they really like the Hard Day's Night cd--the music is very bouncy).
As was mentioned, it's never too early to encourage love for the Beatles!

My son is almost four, and he's been hearing Beatles music since BEFORE he was born. They are among his favorites. (I always did want a little kid to brainwash...um...teach...http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif)
He LOVES to watch Yellow Submarine and AHDN and Help! and even breaks into song sometimes when the music isn't playing!
He's been too young to go to Beatlefest with us, but next year we intend to take him along -- I think he will have the time of his life!
Funny thing, you don't really have to TEACH little kids to like the Beatles, they just generally DO if you expose them to the music. I guess it's THAT universal and wonderful! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

Back when I was pregnant (almost 29 years ago!) I used to put the stereo on when I napped with the headphones on my belly like it was a head--that way my baby could listen to the music while I napped. The kids were BORN knowing Beatles songs! They are 2nd gen fans, and my grandkids are 3rd gen Beatlemaniacs. So they are REALLY never too young!

I'm still a baby. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/baby.gif Well...not quite, but not quite a grownup either. I don't think I'll ever grow up. But I'm crazy over Yellow Submarine. I love Help! also, especially the scene where the guy wants to kidnap Ringo, and they grab him by the nose. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/laugh6.gif

One of the kids from last year's group of students I taught the Beatles unit to can STILL pick out Beatles songs on the radio when they come on. His mom said to me today "You've hooked him on the Beatles. He can still pick out the Beatles and the Ramones--his dad listens to the Ramones." http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/smile1.gif
This new group of kids that just started in my classroom two weeks ago are really into the Hard Day's Night soundtrack. Two of the little girls in my class danced for about 20 minutes straight to it yesterday morning. The love of the Beatles' music crosses all races and ethnicities, too--ALL the kids love it.
