There were promotional videos made for both. But, if you're talking about a "making of the songs" type video, I don't know of any off hand.

There are definitely videos for both, they are available on the Anthology videos.
My friend Danny is actually IN the video for Free As A Bird -- he's the guy in the Edwardian clothes talking to the guy dressed as Oscar Wilde in the scene where the bird is swooping over the room filled with costumed people. I think that's VERY cool! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

I think they showed the "Real Love" vid when the Anthologies were first on ABC, but it's not in the box set. Thank god I didn't trash my TV tapes when I bought the box. But I have the video on several other tapes by now too....good thing, since it's a favorite. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

I'm sorry to say that the official videogram release currently only contains "Free As A Bird," which is found at the end of the last part of the ANTHOLOGY set.
I mention the above in this manner as there has been talk of a DVD version of the ANTHOLOGY series coming out soon, which we may assume will have one or both versions of "Real Love" as part of the value-added material. No guarantees, but the good money's on that being part of the set, especially considering some of the extras that showed up on WINGSPAN.
The confusion may come from the fact that in America, when the bastardized version was shown in three parts, at the end of the first night they ran "Free As A Brid," and at the end of the second "Real Love" (Vsn.1). So the folks who taped it off the tube back in 1995 didn't get the entire show, but they got a very nice consolation prize.

bluemaryryan, if you like those smilies so much, you might want to consider putting one of them in your sig (sorry, but I think you can have only one there.) That way, you don't have to put it in the message. To do that, you need to edit your profile and use this code:
[ IMG ]http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/cyberguy.gif[/IMG]
You would just have to replace the "cyberguy" with the smilie of your choice. And take out the spaces around the first "IMG"; I just added them so you could see the code instead of the actual smilie.
Hope this is helpful,
Sandra

So there ARE two versions of the Real Love Video? I was wondering, because Í've seen one version that seems alot longer than the 1995 tv one, it included lot's more Anthology recording footage. Was this the second version?

Thanks for the info about the videos. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/thumbsup2.gif Hats off to you both! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/beer.gif
Bluemaryryan, why do you use frowning faces and devil faces? Are you angry? When you use these icons, it makes us wonder if you are upset about something. If you are not angry, then this is confusing.

If it hadn't been for the "Real Love" video at the end of the TV series, (it's possible that) I would've never been a Beatle fan. I saw that, thought it was cool, and listened to the song over and over again. Then I watched the rest of the Anthologies. Then I was hooked and became a Lennon maniac! lol... http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

I am looking for any photos taken at the making of free as a bird video coz I was an extra in it , The four`pretty little policemen in a row` by the carcrash scene? the first one with a notepad was me!
anyways a official photographer was around all the time taking photos and it would be great to see some of them all these years later!
Wont hold my breath though!¬
