I saw Shake from AHDN on T.V. He was talking on the documentary "When Steptoe Met Son" on Channel 4.

Yes, but it wasn't his fault.

I heard from some at Fest that "Shake" was interviewed for the "AHDN" DVD! It's on the DVD! I can't wait to see that!

Me too! Wouldn't it be ironic if he shrank with age and was now "smaller" than everyone? http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/laugh3.gif

On a semi-realted topic, has anyone else besides me ever noticed that Norm has a bit part (1 line, actually) in I, Claudius?

at Beatlefest in Chicago last weekend, Martin Lewis talked about plans to have the actor who played Shake, John Junkin, and Victor Spinetti appear in the US around the time A HARD DAY'S NIGHT is released on DVD. Does anyone know where we could find out specific information about this?

Cool! Would make sense, considering how many big names there were in that project. Heck, I watched it again after I read that Patrick Stewart was in there, playing Sargentus no less, and I kept looking for all the other faces I might have missed. I'm surprised Tom Baker and Patrick McGoohan didn't have a role.

John Junkin, Paul's "grandfather" was the English version of Archie Bunker on a British show featuring an Archie like character, but I forget the name of the show.

"Steptoe & Son" was the British equivalent of "Sanford & Son."
