I wonder if the world will ever know real peace and love for fellow-man. Our generation sang and talked about it. The Beatles and everyone claimed all you need is love. Looking around the world and even in my own backyard it seems like we have drifted far from this ideal. So, I'm hoping for a peaceful and love filled new year. How about you, dear friends?

I believe it will happen! I believe we're moving in that direction. But it will take more time... sadly.

I think some of us here are certainly working towards a very peaceful and love filled New Year!!
Like Asha I believe it will happen and it will take time, but hopefully as more people "get it" they will reach out to their brothers and sisters all over the world, to make things better!

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven
A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep
To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven
A time to build up,a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones, a time to gather stones together
To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven
A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace, a time to refrain from embracing
To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven
A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time to love, a time to hate
A time for peace, I swear its not too late

Like you all, I believe it'll happen, slowly, as we all clean up our own little corners of the planet. And what a great tool the internet is in that effort.

I believe it will get worse before it gets better.

The internet has helped many of us to see that regardless of borders or boundaries, we're all the same. Everyone just wants to have a home, warmth, food, & most of all love. It's so simple.
The more we each learn to share, the more we learn that excess material things are not so important. The more people you get to know, the more you see how alike we all really are. Don't look for differences. Look for likenesses. Give love without any expectations. ... You'll see... :teeth1:
