Has anyone seen this movie "I Want To Hold Your Hand"? It was supposed to come on but it decided it didn't want to, on the description of the movie on the TV Guide channel it said something about Bealtemania, but sadly it never came on can anyone give me the load down on the movie?

I've seen IWTHYH. I own it, actually. It's a cute movie about a group of teenagers who try to meet the Beatles when they come to NYC for the first time. One of my favorite parts of the movie is when one girl gets stuck in their hotel room. It shows the Beatles' legs (not the real Beatles, but actors portraying them) while she's hiding under their bed. George sits down on the bed and unzips his pants and she faints.
There's a lot of funny bits in it and it's very sweet.
Speilberg is a huge Beatle fan and it's one of his first movies, I believe. He did a good job.

I with Lisa! I have this one, too! I've seen it lots of times, mostly because it's funny! Rosie just cracks me up! I love how she throws the money at the pay telephones!

It's kind of a cute story & not badly written, imho.

It sounds a lot like an Australian film "Secrets" (which has Kylie Minogue's little sister Danni in it!!) that is about teenagers who go to see The Beatles while in Australia and they end up get locked in a basement under the hotel where they are staying. It is an alright film - a bit dumb really but sort of cute. I liked how they showed a lot of real footage. Part of it was filmed in NZ and a couple of people I know can be seen in the crowd as extras!
Have any of you guys seen it too??

No, I haven't seen that, but I'd love too!
Sounds like fun!

I love the movie! I've seen it many times and it really gives a feel to the day the Beatles came to America. I love it!

I thought that jerk who hooked up with Rosie was funny and the ending always makes me laugh.

I think this is a totally cute movie. I love the "collector" guy! I just recently saw it for the first time, and it's worth watching, I think.

I'm still trying to find the movie. I've checked Blockbuster, Hollywood Video and a local chain as well as the library and have yet to find it. I think I'll end up having to buy it.

My Uncle used to do some truck driving and one time after a trip he brought it home to me. I LOVE it!!! Rosie's craziness is almost an exact replica of the craziness my mother and I both share! I love the part where she rolls out of the car as it's still cruising down the highway! Lol. SOOO something me or mom would do!

I LOVE this movie...I picked up a used copy at a video store years ago cheap, and now youc can't find it anywhere. I also saw it in the movie theatre when I was in high school! I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I had a whole group of friends who were JUST LIKE the kids in the movie...it was a hoot, we could have been cast in it!

BTW, just for the record, it wasn't Spielberg who directed it, it was Robert Zemeckis, the guy who directed the "Back To The Future" films and "Forrest Gump," among others. Spielberg was the Executive Producer.

Here's a website with info about the film:

I saw it in high school and LOVED it! Too bad the theater wasn't packed with other like minded viewers like me!

It was a fun movie and believe me, I would not have had to do any acting in it. I wish I had been in it -- trust me, I would not have been acting.

I have this movie -- I bought it cheap a while back. You might be able to get it off eBay. I saw it being sold over there.

It most certainly is NOT anything like MMT! I posted a link to a site with information about this film earlier in this topic...if you are unfamiliar with it, maybe you want to take a look at the info!

I think it's a thoroughly enjoyable and amusing film, quite well done!

I had never heard of this film before now. I checked out the entry at AMG to see if it's on tape in the States, but it does not appear to be. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/sad3.gif (Reference to entry: http://allmovie.com/cg/avg.dll?p=avg&sql=A163008) Considering that Noah Taylor's in the cast, though not as the lead, it might make it over here when he does a few more A-list films for Hollywood.
