Did anyone know, that in the scene in the pub where Ringo is with the Tiger and everyone was singing Ode To Joy, well there was a man off camera holding a shot gun?

I think I've heard that before, actually. It makes sense -- a precaution in case "Ode to Joy" didn't work and the tiger went after Ringo.

Don't they do that everytime a deadly wild animal is being used on film?

The poor tiger! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/frown.gif I thought they would just have a tranquilizer gun or something if they needed it, but maybe that would take too long to work? Wouldn't that violate some "cruelty to animals" law if they actually shot it?
By the way, nice picture. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/thumbsup1.gif

Agh,I'm dumb....I just remembered that tigers, lions, etc. used in these type of movies(i.e. non-documentary) were always defanged and detoothed, usually ex-circus. They'd had soft rubber teeth and claws put in for film purposes.

So the tiger would have simply gummed Ringo to death if he had gotten ahold of him? http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif
