I think this topic is in the right place, if it isn't I apologise.
Did you know that The Beatles wanted to make a Sgt. Pepper movie to illustrate the songs on the album?
Apparently they were arranging venues for the songs.
They filmed the orchestral section from "A Day In The Life" on a 16mm camera. It's true! Part of the orchestra bit was in the film "Imagine: John Lennon" when John's talking about the Pepper album.
That would have been an amazing film but they discontinued it and pursued MMT instead.

The orchestra was the only part filmed.
What was being considered was filming the recording of the album.
This idea was recycled with disatrous resiults 2 years later.

They were actually going to make a film of the songs not the recording of the album. If you read the book BLACKBIRD about Paul McCartney it gives a list of proposed venues for the songs eg circus for Mr Kite.
