Actor that is. In all of the beatles movies who do you think gave the best performances. How about worst?

Mine: Ringo's the best, Paul was the worst (he looks great on screen, but it's just not natural.)

I'd pick George, to me he just stands out without looking like he's trying at all.

Then I'd say Ringo, and John and Paul tie for last they're both much better at writing songs.

Ringo. Definitely my baby Ringo. *ahem*
And then, Geo.
John and Paul, though beautiful, are not actors. They aren't as natural on screen.

But, I love them all and love them all in their films!

I have to agree with this. George is great, but Ringo just seems so natural, especially in AHDN. He's the only one who really displayed some emotion in the films. Although I just read in an interview that Richard Lester thought *George* was the best actor! Here's the link:

http://film.guardian.co.uk/Guardian_NFT/interview/0,4479,110591,00.html

And I also agree that Paul was the worst...he wasn't bad, but I think he tried a little too hard. There must be a reason why his solo scene was cut from AHDN, and you'll notice he actually has very little to do in "HELP!" besides wink and look cute. (Not that there's anything wrong with that!) http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/wink3.gif

Ringo I think, stood out as the finest actor, hence his bigger roles in AHDN and Help! And Majical Mystery Tour if you think about it. I don't suppose Yellow Submarine can really count!

George,of course. Followed by Ringo.
I think George said so much just with his eyes. He didn't have to say a word. He was a good scene stealer too.(the part in Help when they are in the jewelery store and you can see Georgie in the background, pocketing the jewels.)

Same here, the only time I give a good performance is if I'm feeling totally comfortable, then I have no shame.

Do you do anything in community theatre Rellevart? Maybe we know the same people, I used to be a part of Village Players in Oak Park.

Ringo is such a natural born actor anyway, IMO. He's so endearing in his roles.
In the Rolling Stone George Harrison tribute, they talked to the producer (or the director?) of HDN. He said George was the one with the natural ability. Learned his lines so quickly and easily and was always on his mark. Who'da thunk it? http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif His did do other bit acting parts much later tho, right? Shanghai Surprise and couple others? I think??

hard to decide between Ringo and George, but after reading that the director or someone said that George was the better, and Ringo saying in the anthology that there was no acting going on in his scene by the canal as he "felt like shit", and if George is so easily noticed and admired by his acting even though he doesn't do lead roles, i'd say George is the best, then Ringo on 2nd (or maybe equal 1st with George), John, and then Paul; Ringo must like acting though, since he did the caveman, and the voice for the fat controller in thomas the tank engine.

John! He was a natural wit. Check John out on the Beatles' First US Visit. He was such a panic!

George was an excellent straight man, but of the two, I'd have to pick John for acting.

Ringo took to acting like a malamute takes to snow. He is a natural. Love that droll Starr style! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/thumbsup2.gif
