Hi everyone
I was just wondering whether anyone knows if there are any plans to re-release the Beatles Anthology video set? I know they are frequentely on Ebay, but it seems like they always add up to so much at the final selling price! Oh why didn't I buy it before I became a penniless university student!

Only moderators can move topics, Claudia. You'll have to wait for Kat or Tim.

I've been checking on Amazon.com and eBay for it. It is still too expensive for me at this time. I would love to have the Anthology video tapes.

I would love them also BB but I'm beginning to think that if I have to spend a lot of money I would prefer to wait and get them on DVD.

I've been renting them and watching them - it's been a long while since I've seen them. I love the hair shaking during the concerts - wooooooo

I'm trying to wait patiently for the DVD version. I want Anthology!!

They could probably put all 8 videos on 3-4 dvds and still be able to include extras. Maybe more concert scenes.

I'd like to see them include the video for "Real Love." I taped Anthology off the TV, so I have that video, but I'm still surprised that they left it off the official release.

Here's the latest thing I heard about the DVD release of The Anthology from the last issue of Beatlefan magazine....... According to an UNOFFICIAL source out of Abbey Road studios is that remixing of the sound for The Beatles Anthology to 5.1 Surround/Sound was finished right before George passed away and it is on its way to DVD with extra material. So take it for what it's worth.

God, I hope it's released on DVD soon. Does anybody know when "A Hard Day's Night" is going to be released on DVD. I've heard rumors that they are planning to re-release it into theatres.

AHDN was rerealeased to the theaters a couple of years ago, BlueMeanie. I took my boyfriend to see it; he got a kick out of Paul's grandfather.

Paul's grandfather was amazing
and I wish I could remember the actor who
played that part as well as the actor who
played the part of the head "Kayeeli" master in Help... that's another thing that's
always amazed me about the Beatles-- even
the "other" actors in their films were
top notch and quite creative I think!

Paul's grandfather was played by Wilfrid Brambell. Clang was played by Leo McKern. Both did FABulous work.

I purchased the Anthologies the first week they came out, back in 96. Unfortunetely I overplayed them or my VCR is crap because they all look worn out...($150 down the drain)

Videos #3 and #8 got lost by my EVIL http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/angry8.gif sister...note to everyone: never lent out your precious Beatles items to EVIL *aka casual* Beatles "fans" who don't worship them as you do.

Anyway, God, I need the DVDs!!!!!!!!!!!
