I"m soooo happy!! My grandparents came up today and me and Daddy and Mom went shopping with them!! We went to Best Buy where I got the Beatles Anthology 2 and Newsies!!

And then we went to a record shop downtown! Me dad bought me "Fun With the Fab Four"! It was four bucks and in perfect condition!! It's a video about the Beatles, with interviews with them from the early 60's and the play they did!! John as Thisby and Paul as Pyramus!!! It's really cute!!!

I love how George (as the man on the moon) kept on telling the mean guys in the crowd off!!

And then Ringo (the Lion) goes, "Now, if I were really a lion, do you think I'd make all the money I do" Soooooo cute!

It's a great video, and I think any fan of the Fab Four should try and get it! (Try E-Bay, flea markets... etc. etc...)
It's not really hard to find. And I'm sure ya'll will love it! (duh)

That is so cool! I just won "Fun With the Fab Four" on Ebay a few days ago. (Ebay is the greatest invention known to man.) http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/wink1.gif I haven't received it yet, but I can't WAIT to see the Shakespeare sketch! I can't believe you were able to find it in a store - and 4 bucks? What a bargain! I paid... well, more than 4 bucks. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/smile1.gif

I've wanted to see that Shakespeare sketch for a long time. Not just to see the Beatles but to compare it to the previous performance I've seen, if it's half as funny (and not nearly as correct I assume) than it will be amazing.

There is a site that has sound files from the Shakespeare bit:

It's pretty funny! I don't know if it's the complete performance though. I can't wait to see it for myself! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/smile1.gif

That was funny, a little hard to understand but funny none the less.

Just received my copy today! You were right, LennonReincarnate - the Shakespeare bit is great! Those soundclips don't do it justice. That audience was so obnoxious, though! I loved George's line: "I'll kick you in the... the eye!" http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/laugh2.gif

I have to say Paul was my favorite, though. I love how he had to reassure the crowd after he "died": "No, it's alright!" And I love all his facial expressions. It looked like they were having a lot of fun.

The rest of the video is good too, though I wish they had included more press conference stuff and left out some of the screaming fans. The girl who did the painting of Paul cracked me up. And I loved it when John was reading from "In His Own Write" and George ripped out some of the pages!

I highly recommend this video to everyone. The Shakespeare bit alone is worth it! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/thumbsup2.gif

Just re-watched this video for the umpteenth time tonight, and I have to say, it gets better every time!
(Same thing goes with Yellow Submarine which I've watched 4 times now since I got it yesterday)
The girl with her painting of Paul WAS hilarious! I crack up every time I see her stuttering around, explaining what the picture means. Not to dis anyone, but, Paul, in a painting rising out of the dirt?! It's gotta be a hoot!

George yelling at the people in the crowd had me laughing very hard.

"Now look you, this here lamp, this lamp represents the moon. This thorn branch is my thorn branch, this doggy woggy 'ere is my dog, and I'm the man in the moon!" (Or something along the lines of that, I'm memorizing John and Paul's parts first.)

And how Paul said goodbye to Geo as he was walking off stage, "See ya later George." It was sooo random it was cute!
