I wrote this myself.
Aimee's Laws Of Physics
1. Whenever a cat has to throw up, it will always choose the most expensive carpet.
2. Whenever you don't need something, you can find it -- but when you need it, it's missing.
3. The bathroom is unoccupied until you need to use it.
4. Whenever you have less than 10 groceries, the 'speedy checkout' is closed. When you have 50, it's open.
5. Nothing ever breaks down until the warranty runs out.
6. Your favourite CDs are the first to scratch.

Mind if I add one?
7. When your budget is the tightest, the best concerts come to town.

So very true, especially in the morning, when you're in a hurry to go to work...

Maybe you need to look into dymanic obsolesence (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planned_obsolescence), that might explain your warranty thingie. And cats just about throw up anywhere.

Sounds a bit like Murphy's, but I don't believe in him:

About the cats throwing up thing i have a pet rat. I put an old tattered book in her cage and she does'nt even want it. She hasn't even shredded it into a Bed.
But at free-run time she just HAD to chew up my Ringo book! It was an Alan Clayson one that is hard to read but still. My rat only wants to chew up things that are important to me rather than the toys that sit idle in her cage.
