Just by accident from one link to another I came to the announcement from Genesis Publications about an upcoming book about The Traveling Wilburys.

http://www.genesis-publications.com/news/index.html#georgestar

"In the week that the long-awaited re-issue of The Traveling Wilburys Volumes 1 and 3 went on sale, Genesis Publications is pleased to announce a long overdue limited edition book on the world's greatest supergroup.

Expected for publication in Autumn 2007, the limited edition Traveling Wilburys book will present a trove of unseen photos and memorabilia from the Harrison estate archives. These will sit alongside classic photos of the band with text drawn from interviews given by the various Wilburys all over the world.

Genesis' books are always special, but in dealing with a collaboration as this, subscribers can expect all the stops to be pulled for a spectacular box set.

Keep an eye on the website for more news in the coming months."

Well this is from June 2007 and there is no more news sofar.

It does sound mighty interesting though :smile1:

Genesis Publications is pleased to announce a long overdue "limited edition" book on the world's greatest supergroup.

Translation: BUY it NOW (when it's released) before it's too late !

Why in god's name is every CD, book and DVD a "limited" edition these days ?

That'll be one with a very hefty price tag as usual with books from Genesis. My guess would be somewhere round the £300 mark. :)

It's not really in that name, but just look at any book and read the inside. It will say 2nd edition, 3rd edition, or 25th edition.. where it is often books of which you can think "how many will buy this one?" It's the choise of the publisher and a quality firm like Genesis anounces that beforehand wheras another publishing firm who will release the 34th edition of some book they thought would never sell will not be referred to that way and you will just buy the 27th edition without any comment.

Genesis is a special company with special things.

So.. just give them that credit. I must add that till today I have no 'original' Genesis publication, so ...

Some say "limited edition", some issue CD's in version one to six with special limited editions.. want some examples? :smile1:

Yeah Genesis books are pricey but worth it! I have Golden Dreams and spoke to them at Beatle Week, they do have quality books and you pay for quality! But I won't be able to afford £300, I already want the Michael Peto book £300 for Christmas, it's on my list from the boys!!

There is not yet any mentioning of prices, so the 300 is pure speculation and is btw mentioned in (Deutsch) Marks :wink1:
