I rented the movie and I didn't think too highly of it. I've seen one or two stores that sell the video.

The music scenes are by far the best part. I love Paul, but he's not a very good actor! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif I have a copy of the movie actually, but no way to dub copies or I'd make you one!

I guess the music is the only thing that saves this movie. I'll admit I enjoyed the "Ballroom Dancing" scene.

I have taped in when it was on TV over here in Holland. Saves me from spending money on it, I had to pay for the empty video tho, could I ask my money back for that.

The movie isn't all bad. It does have Paul and Ringo to drool over. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif I love the "Waunderlust" scene.

Yes, but "Wanderlust" is a beatiful song, so nothing can go wrong there, and there are few good song in it, but I don't like the new songs apart from "No more lonely nights" and I prefer the original versions of the old songs.
Dang now I have to use more then 9 words.

With 5 words, of course... http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

Now seriously, I think that my review of "Give My Regards To Broad Street" can be resumed in one phrase: if you want to give your fast-forward button in your remote control a good use, this is the movie. Once you do that and skip the dialogues, you get a wonderful collection of Paul McCartney music videos. And that's always a nice thing.

"Not Such A Bad Boy" is kind of a good song, and also is "No More Lonely Nights", but only the ballad. Did we really need four versions of the song? I don't think so.

I know that's more words than allowed, but... jtal's record is unreachable.

So I guess I'll be the loner of you all and say that I actually really really liked GMRTBS. After I understood that
A) It's all a dream and a few dreams inside of that
B) It really shows Paul's fears (i.e. not being able to do music anymore and being away from Linda)
C) Linda's in it, just not a whole lot.

So, does ANYONE out there like it at all??

I guess you can appreciate it more if you're a Beatles fan. As for a "mainstream" audience, it's definitely... hard to get, to say the less. Yes it features some interesting scenes, but the argument just gets lost very easily.

I like it, but only on some days.

No matter what everyone else says, I'd love to have this movie. Does anyone know where I can get it (in PAL format - NTSC is no good to me)? I've seen bits and pieces of it and I liked them, I have the soundtrack album and I love that and I like everything Paul does anyway (I know, I know - I can't help it though http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/wink1.gif ).

I like this movie, but I agree in the fact that you'll appreciate more if you're a Beatles fan...and more if Paul is your fave Beatle. Like that's my case, I enjoyed it http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif.

Another fact why I love it, it's because this was the first time that I heard Wanderlust...and this assigned me a motive for listen to Paul's solo career.

The movie itself isn't too great, but the soundtrack is AWE-INSPIRING
"No More Lonely Nights"-as good as pop gets...
But just so you can see for yourself...rent it.

I got the film now and I think it's great. I showed it too a friend of mine on sunday - she's neither a Beatles nor a Paul McCartney fan but she loved the movie.

By the way, I've seen it every evening for the past three days - and knowing me I'll go on watching it again and again. Lucky for me that my parents don't mind.

It became one of my favorite films at once - along with "Magical Mystery Tour". I just love those strange films http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif
