I'm not always confident and prior to adulthood I never was.

All my life I was one of those "no middle ground - love it or hate it" on most things.

I absolutely CANNOT ABIDE apple polishers! I won't even laugh at a joke that I don't
think is funny, although for form's sake I'll smile politely so the one telling the inane
joke isn't offended. I am PASSIONATE about being true to yourself and NEVER
PRETENDING to be what you aren't and that ESPECIALLY goes for not currying
favor. I like my apples UNpolished, thank you very much! I cannot abide a toady.
That is why I am on my soapbox bitching and moaning about people knocking them-
selves over, doing mental contortionist acts to force their opinion to line up with that
of another. I hate it when anybody tries to agree with someone they admire at the
expense of their own integrity.

I won't play that damn faux agreement game with anybody! Again, it all goes back
to I hate emotional echolalia and I call faux agreement deception. Worst of all, the
one dancing attendance is not being true to themselves and presenting a false voice
to others. I hate that sort of thing.

I am a FIRM BELIEVER in standing up for oneself and for what one truly believes in.
NEVER compromise your standards!

I also hate histrionics with an Aries passion and have no patience for manipulative
behavior. That is something I feel very strongly about. One reason I feel
so strongly AGAINST histrionics is that this is VERY manipulative and done with
the idea of eliciting given responses from others. That is why you have heard me
say it is best not to give the desired response to this. All very calculated and not
what appears to me to be emotionally healthy or mature behavior.

Add to it I can't stand apology threads wherein people apologize for stupid things
(this was on a book discussion board) like "I'm sorry I wore mismatched socks,"
"I'm sorry I ate a red pear instead of a yellow one" and other inane things. Many
people on that board thought the stupid apology thread was funny, but it turned
my stomach. I thought it was as funny as a pandemic. I also didn't like it when
people played kiss up to the author. That made me feel :barf4: :dead1: :rolleyes: :thumbd:

I know many people don't feel things as strongly and as intensely, so that is why
in 3D most people are none the wiser.
