She talks about hanging out in London in the 60's where David Gilmour comes in again. Then a bit about her role in AHDN, where Jim and Pattie talk about Pattie's boyfriend
They agree George comes out very well in the book and Pattie tells about how all her family adored George
She also explains the two titles of the book (today/tonight).
One thing which is not about the book is where Jim asks her when she saw George last and she tells that George one day was visiting Ringo and since Pattie lives nearby he called her up to see if she was home and dropped by, they had tea and walked round her garden and he took pictures of her home and played her some music and brought gifts.
That's about it.

I listened to it and thought it was a good interview. My favorite parts in re George was the part about the senior Harrisons and how well loved George was.
I didn't like the question to Pattie about rating her husbands as lovers. I don't think that is for public consumption. It seemed rude and in poor taste to ask such a highly personal question.
I like the tea and garden story.

do you have the same interview? The only seniors mentioned maybe are "the family" what Pattie refers to regarding her own family?

I actually even more disliked Pattie's reply.. like "I am not gonna tell you this... here while being live on air

I meant the references to Louise and Harold Sr. in her book. Although I never met them, I like them and they clearly loved and supported George. George in turn was a loving son.

Okay, but maybe we can leave the book things for the book thread.

I think a good response to that tasteless question about Pattie's husbands as lovers could have gone along the lines of, "Why do you ask?" Throw the ball back in the asker's court. The asker was way out of place for even asking such a question. If the asker had the even poorer judgment to persist, then Pattie might have said, "Now why do you want to know? That is really not the kind of thing I do, kiss and tell."

well the 'asker' was after more than a kiss story, and maybe is a glossy edit in the show, but Jim Kerr took care of it quite well. One thing I do find 'questionable' in this interview and I have seen that in other reports too is the remark of Jim Kerr "George comes out quite well".... That's when I just go silent. I mean, we all know of certain things which have happened, so there is nothing new really as far as I have heard, but those remarks make it like a contest or like there was a lot to be expected BUT... it seems misleading to me...
I "hate" that. But that's going round in the circle again.

GGirl, you are too funny, you racy thing! You are just incorrigible!
Actually, the expression "kiss and tell" is used as a catch-all for anything of a highly personal romantic/sexual nature. I just meant that is a good way to answer a question that should never have been asked in the first place.
Somebody said that Pattie was on 20/20 recently. Does anybody have that link?

This is a very candid interview. In it, Pattie calls herself pathetic (her word) for being swayed from George's love 'by flattery', admits that George's infidelity with Maureen was most likely him reacting against her affair with Eric, and at the end calls George the love of her life.

Thanks for the link. :smile1: I believe that Pattie loved George, but it was plain theirs was not a marriage made in heaven. The infidelity on both sides was plain that there were problems within the marriage. Also, they both matured considerably during their years together and realized, I think that it was time to travel down their separate paths. Their interests and needs and expectations had changed. That's my take on it. If they were able to part gracefully, then that was good.
