BEATLE photographs never seen before go under the hammer this week.
In one shot John Lennon sports a top hat and a huge curly stick- on moustache while Paul McCartney is in a flat cap and wide red braces.
George Harrison wears a knitted shawl and a spotted head- scarf while Ringo is in the background with his arms outstretched and hands on his pal’s shoulders.
A spokesman for the auction said: “Who knows what The Beatles were really up to in this previously unseen photograph – we'll never know.”
It is one of a group of eight transparencies featuring the Fab Four found among a cache of 1,400 images covering subjects from the late 19th century to the Swinging Sixties.
The prints and negatives represent the remaining stock of the now defunct Collectors' Photographs Ltd.
All will be sold by Surrey fine art auctioneers Ewbank on September 20.
The Beatles pictures for sale are likely to attract the most interest.
Auctioneer Chris Ewbank said: "I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't make more than the rest of the collection put together.
"We have estimated the eight transparencies at £150-250, but as they are previously unpublished, they could easily fetch more."

Well, I had never seen these ones, so for me it's been good news! I had seen several pics of the Beatles in those costumes, but not exactly these ones. As to the pic in which Paul is holding his bass, I had only seen a cropped version showing only Paul, and from a slightly different shot. I hadn't seen the pic of the Beatles with pink shirts, either, although it's from a well-known session (by the way, it's the other way round!), and the last one is completely new for me. So, as you can see, I've added eight new pics to my collection! :skip1:

Yeah I've definitely seen those before.

“Who knows what The Beatles were really up to in this previously unseen photograph – we'll never know.”

As for that, arent they doing one of their Christmas shows?

I'd seen other photos of the Beatles where George wears that silly scarf and John Snidely Whiplash's moustache. They were adorable.
