I just saw a DVD of this movie at one of the Dutch large record stores for a wonderfull price of NLG 15,-- which is e.g $ 6.
Won't buy it though, other than the music I did not think much of it.

What George song does it include? "Dream Away" maybe?

It's been quite a while since I last saw "Time Bandits". I thought it was a pretty good movie. I can't remember what song of George's was played though.

Dream away is the closing song from that movie and it is another version than which is on Gone Troppo.

Saw this movie for the first time a couple of days ago.
In 1981 they didn't have all the special effects stuff like they have now, but they certainly did a great job.
I think it's a pretty good movie images/icons/smile.gif

I taped this off the TV. I started to watch it but couldn't get into it at all. I felt very disloyal to George for not watching it. I don't think he had much to do with it though other than a fight with Terry Gilliam and of course bankrolling it. And yes, the song which is about how he felt about Gilliam. I do think they later kissed and made up. Having not seen it, I might be wrong, but I think it is a black comedy for kids.

O no, it's not a black comedy for kids.
I'm gonna let my son watch it (he wants it btw images/icons/smile.gif ) and see what he has to say..

I didn't really enjoy it either to be honest. It's not really my type of film. I know a lot of people who do like it though.

I got a copy on VHS a little while ago and it is a good funny film. My daughters have seen it and enjoyed it as well.

Yes, "Time Bandits" is the one with the little people. They and a boy travel through time portals.

When I first saw the movie years ago, I really enjoyed it. I saw it again about 1 year ago and while I still liked it, it wasn't as good as I'd first remembered it. Some of the scenes were quite funny, but others were rather dis-jointed.

When I was little, this was one of my most favourite movies. And when I wath it now I still love it... especially the Robin Hood scene with John Cleese as Robin. I think I enjoy that one even more since discovering he based the character on Prince Charles. LOL!

I haven't seen it in a long time, so I don't remember many of the details, but I do remember that I thought the ending was just terrible--pointlessly cruel and not funny at all.

All I can say is it beats the hell out of "Erik The Viking".
