Hi,

I recently obtained "Mythology" and the notes to disk 4 mention the 1964 Big Night Out and contains the audio (the Hard Days Night tracks), but goes on to say that a video tape has been discovered, "Look out for it soon".

Given Mythology is a couple of years old (I would have loved it a couple of years ago, but now have most of it anyway) has anyone seen this video footage and might know where I can get hold of it?

Thanks.

I'm not sure which show I have, but it's big night out with the Beatles. probably the 1963 show I beleive,
if this is a different show it would be a great find!

I have the one with Mike & Bernie Winters where they crash through the wall and mime to songs from With the Beatles, but the one I'm after is where they sing A Hard Days Night, Things We Said Today, You Can't Do That, If I Fell and Long Tall Sally live.

Legs was kind enough to send me the audio tracks a while ago (which are all on Mythology), but the notes say a video has turned up and I was wondering if anyone had seen it, or knew where I might get it.

Does anyone have the one where the Beatles played garbage men and surgeons in the sketches?

I have the one where they step off aboat on the Thames and come through Customs aka Mike & Bernie Winters and I think that's the same one.

There was a enws item recently about newly discovered footage and it appears a bit of that was footage of them on the boat as they come down the Thames and George doing a mock commentary.

The news also showed a bit from Paris 1964, which most Beatle collectors will already have.

I have not seen the surgeon or bin (garbage) men sketches, but would love to.

I vaguely remembver them on Sunday Night at the London Palladium (I was 3 or 4) and I'm disappointed no video of that seems to exist.

I have the boat one on vhs--they had just gotten back from Ed Sullivan when they did that one. That's a shame if the other show's footage has been destroyed. :(

Some of their earliest TV Footage from Granada People and Places has been lost, as well as their first appearance on Top of the Pops.

As I'm originally from Liverpool, my Mum and Dad used to tell me about seeing them on Granada TV for the first few times and they thought they looked like real scruffs.

Imagine what they'd have said if they saw them before Brian Epstein cleaned them up!
