No way! I saw this when I was in about 8th grade and I just laughed through the whole thing cuz it was so ridiculously stupid.

But hey, that's just my opinion! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/grin.gif

You can get it at discount price in Suncoast Video or something. Not a big seller. I bought it for about 9.99. the music is fantastic as Paul re-recorded some Beatle tunes of his and No More Lonely Nights is a great song but the movie is a snoozer. It is a must see for yourself, though.

"Snoozer" huh? Well, that's just http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/sleep2.gifs type. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

This week, the Beatles greatest hits album, "1", is at number fifty-one on the USA album charts. "Wingspan: Hits and History" by Paul McCartney is at number twelve.

The plot (such as it was) was poor, but the video sequences override that. A lost gem is int here with "(I'm not such a) Bad Boy".
No More Lonely Noights is good as well.

I've got a copy too -- picked it up used and cheap at some video store a number of years back. Not the worst thing I've ever seen -- harmless fluff, nice to look at Paul for a couple of hours, Ringo's in it too...certainly not great filmmaking, but...I've always liked the version of "The Long and Winding Road" from Broad Street even better than the Beatles' original, overproduced one!

I like that version, too. It was the second song played at my wedding.

The video for "Ballroom Dancing" is amazing, and the sequence of playing in the attic ("Not Such A Bad Boy", "No Values", "So Bad"), is the gem of the movie... And "Eleanor's Dream"... And Paul and Ringo at the studio doing the "Yesterday"/"Here, There And Everywhere"/"Wanderlust" medley... There you have something to enjoy.

I own a copy too. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/grin.gif

I couldn't have said it better, darkhorse! I too look at it as a collection of great music videos rather than a movie (the plot? What plot??). I love "Not Such a Bad Boy" and "No Values" and I too own a copy!

My fondest memories of this movie involve sitting in the theatre when it came out and screaming laughing at the "Silly Love Songs" sequence! Oh man, I had to justify Paul for the longest time after THAT one! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/grin.gif

'Cause here I go again... http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/musicnotes.gif

I'm watching the movie right now on Canal Fox. The worst thing is that it's been overdubbed to Spanish. So the title is indeed "Un Saludo A Broad Street"... And the guy who does Paul's voice... http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/barf1.gif

Well at least the songs aren't translated!!! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

I've never seen it but is it really that bad? All I've ever seen is the music video for 'No More Lonely Nights' on Vh1, I was to busy singing along and reading the pop up bubbles to really watch any clips of the movie in the thing.

The movie's alright if what you need is a daily fix of Beatle Paul or Beatle Ringo. The music is great though. The scene for "Ballroom Dancing" is fun to watch.

You might think how bad can a movie be with Paul and his music in it, but it just is a vehicle to show Paul and his music.
