... at the very least, I find it intriguing!

There WAS a time when I didn't have the internet. I was quite happy and capable of being a musci fan. I'd do fine without it again.

I agree to a lot of what he says and for me it is not limited to music only.

He could start by taking his songs out of iTunes...
It's completely irrealistic.

He is absolutely right, but I don't want to shut down the net. I see it other way: that live music will become the next definitive musical movement.
He is right about that modern bands thing, only kids who have not seen it all before find new stuff interesting. The early seventies stuff just sounds better, I don't know why but it does. And of course all live music is better too, except metal cacophony.

Yeah, you can't shut it down. It's simply not realistic.
But, after reading his article, I stepped back and took a look at how much I use the internet and how much I have scarificed, personally, to be "hooked-up". I swear... I get home from work, eat my dinner, and automatically head straight to my computer! I have to find a way to curb my use.
I've tried before with "limited plans" - back when I had dial-up. It never worked, though. I always went over my hours. It's going to take a more conscious and concerted effort on my part.
