It's still going on! How do you feel about Rosie?
http://news.aol.com/entertainment/television/story/_a/rosie-keeps-bashing-trump-hasselbeck/20070711082509990001
Just because she doesn't have her 'View' platform doesn't mean Rosie O'Donnell is going to stop taking shots at her enemies whenever she can.
O'Donnell took aim at both Donald Trump and Elisabeth Hasselbeck again during a gay-themed cruise, and pictures of O'Donnell's antics made their way to Us Weekly.
In the photos, O'Donnell is seen with a large picture of Hasselbeck -- with devil horns, a mustache and a tail drawn over it. O'Donnell goes on to tell the crowd that Hasselbeck's "only f-ing credit was 'Survivor,'" taking a shot at her former co-host's resume.
O'Donnell's 'View' tenure ended with a major blowout between her and Hasselbeck, as O'Donnell accused Elisabeth of not defending her for controversial political comments she had made in the past. The split-screen fight was the talk of the TV world, and it also marked the last time O'Donnell would appear on the show.
But Hasselbeck wasn't the only target for Rosie on the cruise. She also took a swipe at her long-time nemesis Donald Trump, saying she would love to break into his apartment and rub her belly all over him. Her feud with Trump stems from her criticism of him during the Miss USA scandal, which then led to countless back-and-forth insults between the two.

She likes to play the victim, but comes off as a moronic martyr. I wish she would just go away.

I have no problem with her expressing her thoughts and beliefs, I just don't see things the same way she sees them. She also appears to be mean-spirited in the few articles I have read. She certainly is rude.
I thought Trump was going to sue her the last time she spouted off late last year? I guess he realized the folly in pursuing that potential circus.

That's they same way I feel, I'm not naive enough to believe everyone thinks like me, and I respect other people's opinions, but she just seems like a little kid when it comes to things like that, the type of person who always has to be right and wont let anyone else disagree with them.

It's weird because when she had her own talk show, like, five years ago even, she was awesome. Now she sucks. My friend made a really un-PC joke about her that is hysterical and completely true but I won't say it here.

I didn't like what happened on The View -- when it went to the split-screen, I knew it was bad news, especially since this very personal disagreement was being played for higher ratings when they could have cut to commercial and tried to resolve things privately -- but while I disagreed with Hasselbeck's actions and views, I still didn't like the way Rosie played the whole thing out in the media afterwards. She does come off as a bit childish lately, and I wonder when that all happened because back when she had her own talk show and was doing fine in films and such, she didn't seem to be this vocal or rude, at least publicly. Maybe she has just found her advocate voice (she has done some great work for gay and lesbian foundations, especially concerning same-sex adoption) and is using it everywhere... but still, there's a time and a place. I hope she resolves this issue and moves on -- I love Rosie and I want to see her be in the headlines for her talents, not for her cattiness.

I don't think the words "Let it go" are in her vocabulary.
She needs help. Her behavior seems very manic. I know she sees a therapist, but I wonder if it's doing any good.
Maybe she has just found her advocate voice
I don't think so. There are a lot of celebraties who support causes, but they don't go half-cock like Rosie. This isn't about children or gay rights. It's some personal vendetta that's eating her up and the public is watching her crumble. It's really sad.

Yeah, I know I read somewhere she has battled with depression. I hope she gets help for whatever problems she has because she seems like she is going on a downward spiral, and that's just sad, even if you like a person or not.

I agree. Frankly, I've had enough of her. She used to be really cool as ringo_rama said. I liked her movies; she's a good actress. Until she came out of the closet, she was pretty normal and cool.

You can say what you want about Rosie....BUT....since she left the View their ratings have gone down the crapper. She may be perceived by some people as the 'bad guy' in the tiff with the ex-Survivor....BUT.....Elizabeth Hasslebeck is a super a$$hole.....Kelly Ripa class. She out and out lies about her husband being the quarterback for the NY Giants.....BUT....he hasn't played in two years. As matter a fact he isn't even listed on their roster anymore.
As long as people are taking pot shots at Rosie (no I am NOT a Rosie fan). I can't understand why Elizabeth is on a television talk show. When she gets excited or agitated she starts yapping waaaay too fast and it's hard to understand what she says.
OK! I'll get off my soapbox.

I thought Rosie was a good addition to the show, but I don't understand why these women--including Star Jones--get all trippy with each other on that show. They get so childish and insecure, like "I'm taking my toys and going home!" I like Rosie in general, but she can't tolerate an opinion that is not her own. And it's also true that Hasselback has no "credentials" for being on an interview show other than being blond. She's a trophy-wife wannabe. :girl1: :barf3:
I do think that Joy Behar is a stitch, tho. I liked her and Rosie's sassy criticism of Paris Hilton in front of Hilton friend Baba Wawa, who was a good sport about it. :laugh5:

I like Rosie, though I am not a 'fan' really. I usually tend to agree with her, so she doesn't offend me, maybe. I did think Elizabeth Hasslebeck calling Rosie unpatriotic was inane. I mean, Rosie wanted the troops home, nothing bad with that. Rosie disagrees with Bush, nothing wrong with that. I read from Rosie's site about the actual death tolls in Iraq. They are so very much higher and it is amazing how the media works to twist the numbers. Her site sometimes has cool stuff, like now she has a video of butterflies from her backyard which is so beautiful. Rosie's okay by me.
But yeah, Joy Behar is awesome! She is so funny! I liked her from the beginning of The View. :smile1:

I like Joy.
I like Rosie in general, but she can't tolerate an opinion that is not her own.
That's part of her problem. She takes a difference of an opinon as a personal attack.
If they had get someone who is conservative, couldn't they get someone that was...oh I don't know, smart? Elizabeth constantly makes a fool out of herself.

I think Elisabeth has gotten worse over time. She started out sort of just chiming in with an opinion and now its like she has to be right too.

She doesn't want to admit to herself that the government could possibly be wrong. I'm concervative, but I'm not blind like she is. I never approved of the war. I'm just disturbed by her unwavering belief that it's a good thing.

I watched the show where Elisabeth talked about her dinner at the White House. I could tell it took Joy and Rosie all their strength not to make anti-Bush jokes.

Remember when Clay Aiken covered Kelly Ripa's mouth during flu/cold season, Kelly protested and said "I don't know where that hand's been," and Rosie took it as gay bashing?
That pretty much defines Rosie nowadays. She always goes immediately to the most extreme reaction possible and doesn't really care how much of an exaggeration it is.
Elisabeth and Trump are annoying, but she's easily the biggest instigator in Hollywood.
And FWIW, Clay had denied being gay on many occasions before so she essentially outed him (although raise your hand if you were surprised).

The View most definately 'Jumped The Shark' when Meredith Viera quit. I don't blame Meredith, she gets $10 million yearly salary on the Today show.....AND she only works two hours a day.
