From playing the bootleg of the Please Please Me sessions, it puzzled me why the keys to the songs seem to be different than the LP versions? How does that come about?

How different are they? I've noticed that some songs are almost a half step off sometimes. I know they would speed up or slow down the tape to get it to sound a certain way (that's how particular they were)or use a capo up even just one fret sometimes. I've gotta believe that's to make the vocal fit more perfectly. Perhaps from the demo to the studio track they changed it for the sound effect or the vocal performance.

I think I have certain songs in 8 different keys! It all depends how fast the tape was spinning when they mastered the bootleg. Certain people out there don't really care to match things up too well. I have a 2 CD bootleg of Hendrix's entire Woodstock performance, but he sounds like a chipmunk because it's way too fast.
