As well as being a Beatles fan, I'm a life-long Chargers fan, and man, am I glad American football season is back! My Chargers just shut out the Oakland Raiders tonight on Monday Night Football and I am so excited!!! :teeth1:

I missed the game (it was a bit late on the east coast). How did Rivers do? Or was all that offense LT?

Once Phillip Rivers was allowed to pass, he did very well indeed.

LT was just amazing--as ususal!

Shawn Merriman made sure to make Oaklands QB eat dirt more than once.

I suppose it made for an uninteresting game for most folks as the poor Raiders were just so hapless, :laugh5: but we here in San Diego were loving it.

I like how the radio announcer mentioned Mick and the Boys, The Rolling Stones are playing Oakland stadium and tickets are on sale at the box office... :cross2:

I lived in San Deigo for a while and I have a sister there right now. I do like to keep tabs on the Chargers and the Padres as much as I can. As long as LT and Rivers stay healthy, they should be serious contenders again.

Bear, I think the Pads are two games behind clinching a wild card spot.

So you lived in San Diego...small world! :teeth1:

I lived in the Normal Heights area. We could walk a couple of blocks down the street and look down into Mission Valley.

D**n! I lived in Kensington for years, just off Adams Ave. about a block from the Ken Theater and Kensington Coffee! We were practically neighbors! :teeth1:

Well then, small world.

When I was young, I swept the floor at my great-aunt's beauty shop. It was located on Adams Ave.
