Can someone ID the "performance" that the image below is from? What TV show is it from? Obviously, it is the 1965 "Help!" era.

When I was a young lad, I had a poster on my bedroom wall which was similar to this image, but at a more frontal angle. I always wondered what it was from.

Thanks! :wave1:

Yep I found the performance in one of my books!

It's from Sunday 28 March 1965.

at the Alpha television studios, Aston, Birmingham.

Taping of the Beatles final personal appearance on ABC Television's weekly pop series Thank your lucky stars, the show which had launched them on national televison in January 1963 but which was now in steady decline. (It ended on 25th June 1966, by which time it was no longer screened by all of the ITV region.)
On this occasion while it was still fully networked, the Beatles returned to the scene of that debut, Alpha Television studios in Birmingham, and mimed performances of three songs "Eight days a week", 'yes it is' and 'ticket to ride', before an extremly enthusiastic studio audience. Paul and Ringo also interviewed by the cast on Saturday 3 April (5.50-6.35 pm).

and I know this is the same show cause it has a picture underneath showing the same clothes and that striped boarder around the audience feet there!

Hope that helps! :smile1:
