Here is a very nice interview with George, by George LOL... from November 1964;

He explains why:

"As you know, we had five weeks of non-stop concert dates in America and Canada followed almost immediately by our present one-nighter tour of Britain. So quite a few questions and answers have been flung to and fro between us four and the world's press reporters in the last couple of months. I'd like to hold a press conference of my own. I'LL ask the questions, and I'll try to answer them... if they're not too tricky!!! Some of them will be questions I've wanted reporters to get around to asking, and some of them will be questions which have cropped up most frequently in the letters we get from 'Beatle People.'"

Typical George huh :smile1:

Enjoy;

Yeah, I always did love his cerebral, acerbic wit. The man was brilliant!

Thanks for posting the link and the interview.

When you read the interview... stay aware that George was at the age of 21 when he did this.. I find it amazing to be honest when you read it, that the choise of words and the considerations in the responses, are from a 21 year old.

George matured very early. Even as a very young boy he was bright and independent. Stories of a pre-school George, getting food from the butcher's, saying he didn't need a note as he could place the order. George, a few years later insisting on walking himself to school and "staying for dinners from the start." Teen George traveling to Hamburg. George had a lot of early life experiences that matured him early.

I wonder if his questions & answers were a result of him already having been interviewed a bit? Maybe he had had a bit of practice around Liverpool already?

He just thought it sounded distinguished, like.
George Harrison. The scouser of distinction. :laugh5:
