I'm sure I've said this many times in other posts, but I'm in a serious mood right now and I'd like to talk about George in a serious way.
There are many reasons why I personally find George special. His deep reverence for life, e.g. gardening and love for those to whom he was closest and his receptive mind made him very distinctive. His music reflects these things; in fact, he wrote some beautiful prayers such as "Dear One" and set them to music.
At no time did George ever compromise his standards and beliefs; his values ("It's What You Value") remained intact at all times. He created the music he wanted to create and not what the then au courant fads dictated and/or demanded.
George was plainly loved very much from the beginning. I really think it was those early loving examples and interactions that planted seeds deep in George that flourished in his art.
