Sid “Springs” Back…. :music2:
“New Artists In Bloom”

After a resounding reception at his last Promotion on February 12th, SID BERNSTEIN is back with another Exclusive Showcase Performance, and once again, live at The Cutting Room in New York City on Monday Evening May 15th.

To usher in the new season, Sid is Springing Back with three ‘ New Artists In Bloom’ - and with a focus this time on new and original material and the implementation of this talent in a new and unique, live Showcase format.

Featured at his last event and developed further here, our audience will again experience some of the ‘mix and match’, ensemble formula among the artists that worked so well in the last production in February.

This show is sure to captivate its listeners in a way not commonly experienced in contemporary Showcase Performances, as the artists work hand in hand in sharing their talents and unique sounds with each other.

THE PROGRAM

Act One…

First of the three artists performing will be Ten Year Old Blues Prodigy, MYLES MANCUSO, who will entertain us all with his mature control of the Piano, Lead Guitar and Bass Guitar, all sensitively combined with his fine Vocal talents.

Moving on piano easily thru “Do The Mess A’ Round” (by Ray Charles) and playing Lead Guitar on “Just A Little Bit” (by Freddie King) or “Pride and Joy” (by Stevie Ray Vaughn) – among several other classic tunes – this young man will delight and surprise any avid listener beyond expectations.

His cool command of this material and his comfortable presence on stage - and in the current musical scene - is immediately evident and genuinely impressive.
(Please visit www.MylesMancuso.com and……..http://www.poughkeepsiejournal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060217/COLUMNISTS06/602170304/1038/ENT ).

Act Two…
Lined up next is “That Guitar Man”, David Ippolito. David is a seasoned guitarist, vocalist and songwriter who has honed his skills in Central Park in the shadow of The Dakota Apartments for years.

David regularly delights his audiences with his Folk/Rock wit and his rare musical abilities. He is unique and talented and has incredible original material to share with us all.

In this set, David will also Jam with Ten Year Old Myles Mancuso, creating a warm chemistry and a musical energy that will both entertain and move the listener throughout. (Please visit www.thatguitarman.com).

Act Three…

Closing the Evening will be Ms. Deirdre Broderick, a cross category singer, with a lush velvety voice. Deirdre is a unique solo artist who accompanies herself on the piano and guitar. Her voice is a flexible, wide ranging, impeccable instrument.
A singer/songwriter/musician from childhood, she approaches music intelligently, humorously and stylishly. Specializing in sultry ballads, Deirdre brings a unique blend of warmth and versatility to each song. Her own songs are like three act plays – dramatic, emotional, timeless.
Deirdre wrote and performed the score for the International Award Winning film “ABCD” and is currently writing the score for the upcoming animated feature film “A Blip In Time”. Deirdre appears in New York City Clubs such as Danny’s Skylight Room, Makor and The Baggot Inn, and has worked as a lyricist with the great Jazz Pianists Bill Mays and Russ Kassoff.

“Oh, that instrument – pure, smoky, strong, supple, she has [Karen] Carpenter’s fluid sound with something much better, richer.” – David Finkel, Backstage. (Please visit www.deirdrebroderick.com).

Welcome to Beatlelinks, Maureen. Hope you stick around to join in on the discussions here.

I'm going to transfer this thread over to I Read The News Today forum since I believe it would fit there better.

Hello Beatlefan4life! How are you? This is my first time posting in Beatlelinks. I'm hoping to spread the word about our event in NY that Sid Bernstein is promoting. I realize many people live far away, but it's nice to let everyone know what is going on with Sid! I think he's fabulous. It is amazing to realize that he brought the Beatles here. I can't wait to see the new performers that he promotes! He picks top notch artists.

Take care & thanks for writing, Beatlefan4life!!! : )
