Can anyone help me with this? I was at the local Wherehouse Music store last week and I found a copy of George's 'Brainwashed' CD in a plastic case, not the digi-pac like was in the Deluxe Editon or the regular edition.
I bought it for only $6.00, and after inspecting the packaging, it was not modified for the plastic case - It was made for it.
Now my question is: was 'Brainwashed' released in a non-digi-pac edition anywhere in the world that anyone knows of? Any help will be appreciated.
By the way, while I was looking thru the booklet, I fould the the art direction and cover design was made by none other than THENEWNO2.
Coincidence???? I think not!!!

Interesting!! I wish I could help you out with some information about this, but I could only say that if I had ever seen the jewel case edition of Brainwashed, I would have purchased that instead of the digi-pak.

I have seen it in the jewel case too. Wasn't Brainwashed re-released about a year or so later to try and generate better sales? Maybe that's when it was released in the jewel case :nono3:

That's true, the picture on the booklet is the same as on the dig-pack version, but the put the jewel case in a cardboard box which has a picture of George on it. I remember reading a discusion that the title and name on the digi-pack was hard to read, so in order to generate better sales they used a picture of George on the box.

You would miss out the extra stuff that came with the digi-pack tho. Was the dvd included with the jewel case release also?

The standard digi pak did not come with the dvd, that came with the deluxe box set that had a sticker, poster and guitar pick, and the cd (in a digi pak case).
The standard digi pak was released seperate, but at the same time I think, and was just the album.
The jewel case version came out a little later and again is just the album.

The booklet cover is also different than the digi-pac version.

I've already purchased the Deluxe Edition which is just the digi-pak version of the album packaged with a DVD, sticker, guitar pick, and poster. But think I'll look for the jewel case version, because I'd rather have that extra protection for the disc.

Can anyone tell me where I can find a brand new jewel case copy?? Or if someone can get one for me, I will gladly pay for it. Thanks!
