When I bought this album on the day of it's release it entered my CD player and stayed there for about 6 months. Today I just realised I havent listened to it for about 6 months!!!! It was a superb album and deserved to be much bigger than it was - all it would have taken was a budget to advertise it better as people can be very lazy with music. If its not in the charts then some people dont know it exsists.
It's a joy to listen to and always will be. I keep hoping that it was not the final album and another is waiting in the vaults.......I can dream.

Pisces Fish....love it.

I love this one too! Although, one of my George friend's said it's not one she really likes, which suprised me. Thought it was too down-beat, and I think it's relaxing.

I enjoy the overall message of it. To me George made sure he didn't leave us without a "life's little instruction guide"! :teeth1:

I LOVE Brainwashed - personally I think it's one of, if not THE best albums he recorded. P2 Vatican Blues is great and the ending to the album is perfect.

My favourite of his albums, along with All Things Must Pass.

Especially love the title track, Stuck Inside A Cloud, and Looking For My Life ... they are all awesome though :)

That could go for many many of his songs :smile1:

I honestly cannot really listen to this CD all that much cause I get really sad on some of the songs but it is soo great. I still listen to some of them but Never Get Over You and Stuck Inside a Cloud really tears me up.

After the legendary All Things Must Pass, I think Brainwashed is his 2nd best.

:afraid2: How did I forget about 'Never Get Over You'? Definitely another favourite :smile1: *goes to listen to it*

Also very much like 'Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea'.

I agree! :teeth1:

Pulled this one out over the weekend. Just overall good stuff! I can't say there's really anything I don't like.

Hmmm, who could you be talking about I wonder...how many George friends do you have anyway? :wink2: lol, I don't know why I don't like this one as much as the rest of the album. It just doesn't do anything for me I guess. However, Rocking Chair In Hawaii is one I am stuck on. Great song! Great album!

To me Brainwashed is the best present George could have left his fans. It helped to take the edge off the grief, for me anyway.

Brainwashed has some of the most serious work George ever did. "Looking For My Life," "Stuck Inside a Cloud" and "Any Road" all have nonpareil lyrics and the music is of extraordinary caliber. I just love this collection.

Me, too.

It's a great album, and the CFG was great, too.
But I never play them, they're both goodbye's. :sad2:

I have said all along that Brainwashed really is a gift from George. He's an emotional virtuoso. This collection makes you feel every possible emotion. Marwa Blues can bring tears to your eyes along with Looking For My Life depending on how you are when you listen to it.

The title song is replete with delightful George humor, the distinctive irony George was famous for. I just LOVE it! In Any Road, my favorite part is "bow to God and call Him Sir." I just LOVE that! :thumbu2:
