The February issue of ICE Magazine has confirmation from Dhani and Olivia
Harrison that a new George Harrison boxset will be released this year. This is
the Apple Box with new remasters of Wonderwall, Electronic Sounds, Living In The Material World, Dark Horse and Extra Texture which were all originally
released on the Apple label. One bonus mentioned is a CD and DVD of the 1974 Dark Horse Tour. Fans of this period of Harrison's career have never found evidence of any soundboard recordings.

I wonder if it will show the bit where George sort of told off some of the fans at his Vancouver gig ?
... geez, what is it with the ex-fabs and Canada anyways ? LOL

Sounds great, thanks for the info HC :teeth1: I too am very much looking forward to the 1974 tour CD and DVD. Can't wait to have Wonderwall on CD too, I only have it on vinyl so I don't get much chance to listen to it.

I'm looking forward to the CD/DVD of the 1974 tour as well. I saw him in concert that year, so it'll be nice to re-live that. I actually don't remember too much about it now, so I can't wait to see/hear it.

I am looking forward to the 1974 tour cd/ dvd as well, but in this case I hope they will also release the dvd and cd's seperately. With the first box there were many cd's I didn't have, so naturaly I bought the box, here only the cd/dvd of the 1974 tour is new, tho there might be some bonus tracks on the other cd's.
Personally I don't really want to buy "Electronic Sound" for a second time. It's a bit strange to buy a cd for the second time, that I don't even listen to. I already own "Electronic Sound" and I only listened to it once, now I'll buy it again only to never listen to it. So maybe I'll not buy the box this time, but just some seperate cd's depening on what bonus material is included, if any is included this time.

Any info about possible bonus tracks on the albums and if, like the 1976-1992 set, the albums will be available indivudually (not just in a box-set) ?

Seeing something from the 1974 tour would be especially sweet for this little kitty........that was the first big live show I'd ever seen and I gotta tell ya it was such an absolute thrill for a 16 year old kid that it's hard to describe even now. SOOOO looking forward to it!

The 1974 tour CD/dvd is a treat well worth waiting for.
As for "Electronic Sound," I don't think that is George's best
work by far. I have the record, but I don't listen to it very
often and I feel disappointed by it because George was capable
of so much better than that.

Wow! This big news for me, I've been waiting for "Living in the Material World", "Dark Horse", and "Extra Texture" remasters for a while now. Those 3 discs got me through some bad times. It'll be great to hear those songs with optimal sound.

It'll probably be in November to commemorate George's Mahasamadhi.

Round November has been a time where the Harrisons released new material the past few years, so I also expect it to be anywhere near to that yeah.

I would love this box set to come out this year, but it doesnt look hopeful, Olivia has said she wants 'Living In The Material World' to be released first and its already availble for preorder, planned release date in the UK is September 25th, the wonderful boxset may be released next year unfortunatley :angry1:

Amazon has a pre-order page up for Living In The Material World

Still, I am sure any news about the box set will appear as well, let's stay positive and hope for it to be this year.
