Who/what is Dr. Ebbetts in the bootleg world?

When I place my "Yesterday and Today" bootleg into my computer's drive, and it comes up in iTunes, the title reads "The Beatles - Yesterday and Today (Dr. Ebbetts)".

You can't go wrong with Dr. Ebbets. Seems you did a good Ebay purchase, because the the man known as Dr. Ebbets does the best vinyl transfers. See my reference to him on the Capitol thread. I haven't bought any of his titles, but I traded for a few of them.
You will find more info on this thread.

Thanks.

Yeah, I did some research afterwards, and apparently his "needle-drop" transfers are quite sought after.

I also read that there are "Dr. Ebbetts" counterfiets on eBay all the time. So, who knows what I have here.Hmmmmmm!

Well, my "Yesterday and Today" botleg is of decent sound quality. I have to admit, though... after hearing the British mix of "I'm Only Sleeping" for all these years on CD, the American mix sounded different from how I remember it. Could it be it came from a different master(???).

I don't know where child is, but we can also need a Joel.

I got the german "Die Beatles" by Dr. Ebbets and the mono "Sgt. Pepper's" Both sound excelent.
Recently bought the MFSL version of "Abbey Road" on vinyl. While it is the first and not the best one of the series, I find that it sounds better then the cd version. But everything would easily sound better then the current cd version.
