What does everyone think about this collection. I personally like it a lot and got it for christmas but there should have been more "final versions" of songs instead of take 1 etc. My favourites on it are Working Class Hero, Serve Yourself and Long Lost John (to name a few, there are more but no one would read it)
So what do you think?
(sorry wrong place again I'm not verry good at using the songs and albums forum)

First of all, I'd appreciate it if you could edit your signature. Like I said before, I don't think we need that kind of thing here. I'd hate to change it myself. I'm not a censorship kind of guy, but I would think everyone here had a little common sense to know that some things aren't necessary. As for the Lennon Anthology, I have mixed feelings. For bootleg freaks like myself, I already had a lot of the material. But the stuff I didn't have was well worth it. You can't get enough outtakes and demos and live tracks.

I'd love to hear the Lennon anthology. It sounds brilliant. The only thing is that my box set is sealed, and that's how I intended it to stay.
I'll have to look for a cheap opened one (Or get a copy from a friend)

It was a Christmas presnt for me as well. Like Harb, I haven't opened it, but the urge to listen to it will probably overtake me soon.

Thanks Mr. Man. All of us here definitely realize the biting wit of John Lennon. You know, I keep mixing up the Lennon Anthology with all of the different Lennon bootlegs I've got. I was thinking of compiling a good CD of Lennon demos and outtakes for the radio broadcast, but it would take a year just to figure out what's been released and what's still considered a bootleg. There is one CD full of acoustic and piano demos, including several attempts of "Free As A Bird" and "Real Love." It's actually pretty cool to hear the original tape that the other 3 had to work with when they did their "new" versions of the songs.
