Why? So they can make the sky way smell bad too? :thinker:
Bulldogs are so adorable. There's this mama bulldog in the neighborhood and she is mostly white with some brown markings and very large brown teats. She had 7 pups recently and 5 were female, 2 male.

Too bad the Beatles are not a panacea for all ills. As George Harrison said, "All Things Must Pass." Add to that I wish all it took was some warmth to make how I feel blow away, blow away, blow away! I know I've said this before, but this is really on my mind.
The year 2004 was the boil, no the hemorrhoids on the ass of mankind. It was just plain atrocious. I hate 2004 and would never, ever wish the 2004 I knew on anybody! I wish 2004 was toilet paper so I could flush it away. I'm glad it's over, but let's just say events have had residual effects. I hate 2004 to hell and am truly delighted it is over.
Bulldog puppies are really adorable. They are intelligent dogs and make wonderful pets and watch dogs. The English bull terrier is a hybrid breed created by interbreeding bulldogs with terriers. The result is a weird looking dog with an anvil shaped head and a very strong, compact body. I think the anvil headed dog looks very strange. There are two male anvil headed dogs in my neighborhood.

I've been letting a friends' bad attitude get to me. She's a really nice person, but so much has been pissing her off lately. Unf. she doesn't do anything except complain - I suggest that she take action, but she doesn't seem to want to, she'd rather grouse. I think I have to put some space between us for a bit.

It's like Official Odd Person Day in my life. I was walking to the train to go home from work and this woman wearing a candy-pink ball gown and an (at least) 2 foot tall pink beehive hairdo came walking by. Oooooo-kay. I'm hoping it was an early Halloween thing, but you never know....
Then I'm doing my laundry and I went down to get the stuff out of the dryer and there was another guy down there and I smiled at him and he gave me this steely glare. Then he stalked over to the sink and turned on the water for apparently no reason and then stared at me like "I DARE YOU TO SAY ANYTHING". Then he turned it off and stalked back to his machines. I swear, I'm thinking "Ok, serial killer?" Straaaaaange.....

It's really odd, I have pretty severe larengytis when I speak today but I was singing pretty well at band practice tonight. I try talking and it's like "squeek, squawk, eeep", but when I sing it actually comes out ok. That totally doesn't make sense. I have to ask my band buddies about this one because I know they've experienced it too.

Apparently this is not an unusual thing -- if you are trained in the proper way to sing, you can sing even if you can't talk because you know how to control your breath, etc. I remember reading Beverly Sills' autobiography and she said that she could always sing even if she had laryngitis.
Hope you feel better soon!

Read something on another board that I liked. Somebody called some entertainer a "sellout" and another person said "That's ridiculous. If you take it that way, we're ALL selling out. How many of us can say that we'd do our jobs if nobody paid us to do them?"
I know I wouldn't.

Some Boston bulls have bulldog faces and others have longer snouts, showing their terrier heritage. The Boston across the street from me looks more like a bulldog and her teats are black. Like in pitch black.

I have to go to two meetings at work this week...very unusual for me, and one of them is 'business casual'....what the heck? They pay me $3.00 an hour, what makes them think I can afford 'business casual' clothes,lol........I really should just show up in jeans and my Beatles sweatshirt ;p

That's kind of odd that they'd specify a dress code for a meeting that's different than your day to day dress code, but if they did, I'd stick with it unless you want repercussions. We dress "business casual" every day though and it doesn't have to be expensive. Just a pair of pants that's not denim and not skin tight and a top that doesn't have any words on it will pretty much do. I'm wearing a pair of black cargo pants, a turtleneck and a cord blazer I bought for $12 at Old Navy. :smile1:

Well my regular 'dress code' is a red ugly dress covered in Beatle buttons, thigh high fun socks, white tennies...and red lipstick....I have been told I can just go in that....
I am sure I will find something to wear...it is just most of my wardrobe is either fancier or jeans/sweatshirt.....

Women's trousers, yes...and not necessarily crappy polyester ones, I've had some really nice wool ones for work in the past.
You don't have to spend a lot -- I have a couple pairs for the rare occasions when I do have to "dress up" a bit more, I got a pair of black cotton twill slacks and they were pretty inexpensive.
Mind you, my usual wardrobe is jeans or leggings and t-shirts or sweatshirts..."mommy wear," lol...

I like interacting with people but I despise doing so as a company representative. I think there is a huge price in not being 100% who you are, especially when the alternative is representing a company whose ultimate goal is purely to make profit. There is nothing decent about that. What upsets me the most is how most corporations actually train you how to speak to people useing certain catchphrases and scripts. It is inhuman. It has the opposite intended effect. There is no sincerity. It treats the clients as if they were merely numbers.

Annabelle's puppies are so adorable. The little bulldogs have all been bought and their prospective owners love them dearly. The mama dog herself is quite a fine specimen of bulldog. She's a very sweet dog.
George Harrison had a very attractive nose and lean, attractive features. I think the cheekbones were a maternal trait and the nose, et al. were paternal traits, including his distinctive smile.

I wish I was in California.
I wish I could afford to live there. I envy all our Links members who live there. I love LA. I often visited my brother when he lived there, he lived in the Valley. He took me to see Cats , the first time I saw it, at the Schubert Theater.
I also wish I could work in England on a long-term design project or something. It would be cool to live in London for a while, like a posh area. I could always stay at Sally's, I guess, in the potting shed!

I can't believe the prices of homes there. A small house like I grew up in would be like half a million dollars there! That's crazy! I still like it, tho. Our family took a trip driving up the coast from San Diego to San Francisco. It was great. I would like to have seen LA and the Sunset Strip in the '60's, tho. I would like to see the house where the Beatles partied in '65. I would like to be a guest at the poolside gathering when George was trippin' trying to play guitar on LSD (was he wearing the little blue and white swimsuit, hmmm? I like to think so!)
And you lived in England too? That's just too much.

I wonder if there are a lot of US import cars in the UK.
Actually, there aren't, because American cars have left-hand drive because we drive on the right side of the road. They do MAKE US branded cars over there -- I think Vauxhall cars are the equivalent of GM over here - but they're made for the British market, with the driver's seat on the right-hand side of the car, designed for the left side of the road.
Last time Jim and I were in the UK, we rented a car -- it wasn't so hard to get used to the right-hand drive and left side of the road, until we got into a parking structure in Liverpool! Let's just say that it was a challenge manuvering in those tight little aisles -- I kept taking my turns too wide because my perspective was off!

Just for the record, at no time in my life have I ever thought the world revolved around me nor would I ever want it to. The spotlight and I are about as compatible as Robert Kennedy and Jimmy Hoffa!
I would never want to be a hero. Luckily, there is no danger of that. 9/11 put me off to the concept of heroism even more. I'd like to think that being kind and going to bat for others was the norm and not something that stands out and I also like to think that kindness seeks no return.
