The Rolling Stones released Aftermath in 1966, but the UK version was different than the US.

UK:

1. Mother's Little Helper
2. Stupid Girl
3. Lady Jane
4. Under My Thumb
5. Doncha Bother Me
6. Goin' Home
7. Flight 505
8. High And Dry
9. Out Of Time
10. It's Not Easy
11. I Am Waiting
12. Take It Or Leave It
13. Think
14. What To Do

US:

1) Paint It Black
2) Stupid Girl
3) Lady Jane
4) Under My Thumb
5) Doncha Bother Me
6) Think
7) Flight 505
8) High And Dry
9) It's Not Easy
10) I Am Waiting
11) Going Home.

The US version eliminated What To Do, Out of Time, Mother's Little Helper, and Take It Or Leave It. However, it added in the stellar Paint It Black.

I found both versions on Amazon. Should I get the US or the UK? What do you guys think?

You know i am as interested in the answer to this as you. The early stones catalog on abcko is so confusing I dont know what to get either, If I get one of the two, will I be able to find the songs that werent included on that album somewhere else etc etc? Hopefully theres a stones expert on these boards to help us out.

Well, you can only get Paint It Black on Through the Past, Darkly, a Greatest Hits collections with Jumping Jack Flash and Paint It Black.

You can get Mother's Little Helper on Flowers. Same with Out of Time.

The only song you can't get is What To Do.

Bah, I just ordered the UK album anyway. I shoulda waited a bit to analyze this, but as long as I can get Through the Past, I'll have anything I missed.

Good question. I wound up buying both editions. I wanted the UK copy for the long version of "Out Of Time". The song was issued on Flowers, but in an edited form with an early fade. Truthfully I don't know which copy of Aftermath I like better. Both the American and the British copies have their merits.
