The End is a fitting song to cap off their last rcorded album. The mixed guitar lead is worth the price of the album.

Anyway, I was searching for an Abbey Road related thread, 'cause I had something to say and I didn't want to make a new thread. I have the best story to tell. It's rather hard to believe actually. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

I was just listening to my Abbey Road CD and I got to The End. I love that song, so I replayed it about 5 times. I got to wondering... in what order are they playing the guitars? And then a thought struck me. I remembered reading a looooong time ago on amazon.com a really good review of Abbey Road and I remembered that they mentioned the order of the guitars on The End.

I then spent 15 mins browsing the reviews on Abbey Road until I found it. And this is the GOOD PART!! It's so very hard to believe, but at the top it said "Cristian, from Concepcion Chile." Our very own darky!! Now what are the chances of that!!! Blows the mind. Also, I didn't know darky at the time I read the review, since he posted it in December of 2000.
