Today at college I finally got a chance to get some paper work done in regards to a few accommodations in which I have for school, considering I have a learning disability. One of the papers was a few copies of a list, that listed all of my accommodations which I give to every one of my professors. However today, one of my professors told me that she doesn't allow tape recorders in her class room, and that is one of my accommodations. Also she kept insisting that the learning center is suppose to supply me with a note taker, when in fact she's suppose to find a student in the same class to help provide me with some notes. :angry1:
Once class was over, that is when I went back to the learning center, and I told the head of the learning disability department about it, and she wrote up a report. She's going to talk to the Dean of Students in regards to this matter, and I sure hope it will get straightened out. :rolling1:
I just wish I never had to go through such a hassle in the first place. Not enough people understand that those who have learning disabilities have special needs that need to be abided in order to finish school successfully .:afraid2:
