I am just wondering how many Beatlelinkers have been to the Rock Hall in Cleveland? If you've been there what do you think about it?
I have gotten to visit just once, I hope to go back someday soon. I thought it was really cool. The design of the building is really neat. There is so much musical history there, it is overwhelming. I wish I lived closer! :cry3:

I was in it for a corporate event a few years ago, but we were only allowed in the basement, so I didn't get to see a whole lot. What I did see was pretty cool though and I'd like to be able to go through the rest of the place and take a look sometime. I've been within a block of it twice within the last year, once on a business trip and once at AROTR 2004, but didn't have time to go inside.

I am a charter member of the Rockhall and have been there three times. The last trime I was there was when they had the Lennon exhibit. I admit it....I got verklempt a few times......like seeing the blood spattered glasses that John was wearing when he was murdered or seeing the original hand written lyrics to the songs that we all love.
I live near Buffalo NY and it's only a 3 hour ride to Cleveland. I really like Cleveland. I have been going to Browns and Indians games for years. Over the years I saw such football greats as Jimmy Brown, Mike Ditka, Gale Sayers, Sam Huff and Vince Lombardi.

I have been to the Rock Hall :) I finally gave in and went... annnd I have to admit it was pretty awesome. I need to go back sometime in the not so distant future, when I visited it was right before U2 were inducted :( I hear they have one of the Edge's guitars! eeeeeee I would be up for a special exhibit having to do with oh say Paul McCartney or The Beatles. Some of my friends that have gone are constantly going on about the "John" exhibit they had awhile back.. I missed it. Anyway I have to get back there sometime. MoneySpent... you are right the architecture (sp?) is awesome... defintely a bright spot and redeeming factor for the city of Cleveland ;)

I was there last summer (ironically, when I didn't really care for The Beatles) So the major thing I noticed was the Pink Floyd exhibit (which is pretty awesome, it's right in front of the escalator and you come up and there's this huge wall, with a giant inflated schoolteacher) There was a bunch of really neat stuff, but unfortunatly the person I went with is a very, very fast walker so I didn't get to see as much as I'd like. This year I'm going to demand we slow down.
I'm actually going back on August 27th, so we can go see the Tommy exhibit (because we're both huge Who fans)'

Oh, you'll LOVE the Tommy exhibit then. I've seen it and was impressed, and I'm not that big of a Who fan. I've been to the Rock Hall who knows how many times, and I always love every visit. The John exhibit was really really amazing, as was the I Want To Take You Higher exhibit about the summer of love. And joenamherst, I can relate to your story...my family and I are huge Browns/Indians fans and I've also been lucky to have been to Browns and Indians games several times. I love Cleveland!

pffffff ok on The Today Show they did a things to do around Cleveland spot... did they mention the Rock Hall...ummmm no because people would much rather see a lunchbox museum with oooo 800 boxes, or a farm, or a State Park that is actually nowhere around Cleveland. man...ok rant over.

I went there a bunch of times (well i'm only 20 minutes away) when the John exhibit was there, and I really love it there! The basement has all the coolest stuff and of course the Hall of Fame floor is really awesome! The architecture is so different. It's one of my fav places to go and yer right, it is a redeeming factor for us :wink1:
