i don't know if this question has already been presented, so here goes:
out of curiosity - what are some of your favorite covers (by other groups) of beatles songs? i know they will never live up to jpgr's original renditions, however i am curious just the same. one of my favorites is u2's cover of 'helter skelter'.

You're corrct in that this topic was discussed before, but that has been a while. So I'll start off by saying I enjoyed Aerosmith's cover of "Come Together". Alice Cooper does a good version of "Because", as well.

I heard a cool cover of "A Hard Days Night" by Billy Joel. But my all time favorite Beatle cover would probably have to be I call your name by the Mamas and the Papas, I think they did a great job of making that song their own while keeping it Beatly.

Both Aerosmith and Alice Cooper are on the soundtrack to the Bee Gees movie "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heatrs Club Band". A lot of the covers are not really that good, but these two IMO stand out as the best.

by 2 cool artists would be: 1. Peter Gabriel
doing "Strawberry Fields" off of ATAWWII, if
I'm not mistaken and also Judy Collins
does a beautiful, sensitive rendition of
"In My Life" off of an album I believe
called "Colours of the Day"-- gorgeous.

Ok, has anyone ever heard of the band "Godhead"? I was watching TV last night when their video clip for "Eleanor Rigby" came on, which was surprising. I've never seen/heard of them before, the lead guy looks like he could pass off as Uncle Fester's (from the Addams Family) son. Anyone else seen them do this cover?
