I get to have lunch/dinner with my parents on Sunday. I only get to see them 2-3 times a year and they're 85, so it's cool that they have an 8 hour layover at the airport and I can pick them up and take them out. We'll see if they let me pay...they NEVER do, even though I always try!

Apparently I did really well tonight in kareoke, with my two songs "House Of the Rising Sun" by The Animals, and "Rainy Day Woman #12 and #35" by Bob Dylan.
Everyone else does obnoxious country songs, and I do classic rock. This is why I've become known as the "House Hippie" And the Kareoke guy constantly makes pot jokes when I take the stage.

Oh, Target has GREAT wild socks. Kohl's too. I've always loved wild socks (I had rainbow striped toe socks in the 70's!) and probably have 50 different pairs with different crazy patterns on them. Well, at Tim Hortons they have these doughnut holes called "Tim Bits" and it's a theatre tradition (for my old Children's Theatre) that you go to Tim Hortons drive-thru window, get 80 Timbits, and put them in decorative patterns on your friends front lawns. We got four people last night, and didn't finish until about 5:30 a.m.

It's crazy fun. We almost got caught at my ex-boyfriends house. They had finished and ran on the other side of this huge van, but I still had a few so I put them on the windowsill, and I look over and my friend Kristin is motioning wildly, and there's a shadow in the house moving towards the door, about 2 feet from where I was standing. So we jumped a bunch of bushes and ran the entire block to where the car was parked. We took some pictures of us in our Tim-bitting outfits, which I'll probably post at some point.

Just come back from a brilliant festival, the weather was glorious and the bands were great. My two kids loved it and the eldest was boogying amongst the hippies at 10.30pm last night while my youngest snuggled under a blanket on picnic rug!
The best bands were (and you most probably wouldn't have heard of them) were, Flogging Molly, Mad Professor and The Orb, The Peat Bog Fairies, Wonderstuff and The Levellers. There was also a bizarre mongolian band that did covers of Hendrix!
The were semi naked women wrestling in glitter, circus tents teaching circus skills to the kids, art tents, face painting, theatre, fairground, healing fields etc etc
We were lucky enough to be pitched by a sacred stone circle so you get join in with Tai Chi in the morning or listen to the story teller around a fire in the evening.

:thumbu1: glad to hear it was a good time Susan, any cute pics of Jamie with Mark Hudson again?I'll answer for Susan - Susan got to be a "single" girl for the week - Jamie was with Jim. So no pic of him with Mark. I, however, got my photo taken with him - I hope my friend emails me a copy of it!

True, true -- I was a single gal! :wink1: Jim couldn't get the two weeks off so he took Jamie upstate instead and I flew to Chicago by myself. And it was a hell of a good time, if I do say so myself!
I'd love to see that pic, Lynn!!! :smile1:
