Does anyone besides me think "Things we said today" sounds extremely like a Moody Blues song. I'm trying to remember which one. I can't remember it's title and it's really getting on my nerves.

" Are you a mod or a rocker?"
" No I'm a mocker."

"I'm not dead yet."

"What's brown and sounds like a bell?"
"Dunnng"

I never thought about it. "Things We Said Today," in my not so humble opinion is one of the BEST songs the Beatles EVER did!

If so, then that reflects well on the Moody Blues. Good source! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/thumbsup.gif

Then we will remember things we said today. Yeah.

I haven't noticed that "Things we said today" sounds like a Moody Blues song. Let's see the well known Moody blues songs are:

Nights in White Satin
Tuesday Afternoon
Voices in the Sky
Ride My See-Saw
Question
I'm Just a singer in A Rock and Roll Band
In Your wildest dreams

Any of those? http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/lookaround.gif

OK, so I'm not alone on this. I got a friend who moderates a Moody Blues board and knows a lot about that group - Legs knows him too
- so I will put forward the question to him as well and see what comes up.

And I will post this question on another Moody Blues message board. I still don't hear it, have to play "Things we said today" and "Tuesday Afternoon". Now I'm on my way to give other people the pleasure of sorting this out.

I "borrowed" my brothers Moody Blues CD and after listening through the CD "Tuesday Afternoon" seems to be the one. It isn't all that obvious but they remind me of each other. I've always loved "Tuesday Afternoon" I just didn't remember the title, I could only remember "Nights in white satin" and "I'm just a singer in a rock n' roll band" as far as titles to songs go and I knew those weren't it.

I'm not saying it sounds the same it's just that through chord progression or what not it reminds me of a Moody Blues song.

It's the change of the We and Today that have the same vocal structure up and down.
