OK... I liked this topic, so I'm gonna do it with songs from the '70 period, except for the "It Don't Come Easy" single, which was pre-recorded somewhere in 1970 anyway. So I'm taking tracks from singles ("Instant Karma", "It Don't Come Easy"), but mostly from "McCartney", "Plastic Ono Band" and "All Things Must Pass"
Side A
1. It Don't Come Easy (Starr)
2. My Sweet Lord (Harrison)
3. Working Class Hero (Lennon)
4. Every Night (McCartney)
5. Isolation (Lennon)
6. Man We Was Lonely (McCartney)
7. Instant Karma (We All Shine On) (Lennon)
8. Run Of The Mill (Harrison)
Side B
1. Mother (Lennon)
2. That Would Be Something (McCartney)
3. Apple Scruffs (Harrison)
4. Early 1970 (Starr)
5. Love (Lennon)
6. Art Of Dying (Harrison)
7. Maybe I'm Amazed (McCartney)
8. All Things Must Pass (Harrison)
And I'm not including "God" only because of the "I don't believe in the Beatles" thingie... http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

Oh... How am I going to call this masterpiece? http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/thinker.gif
"All Things Must Pass", that is. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif
And note the proportions:
Ringo gets two songs, George and John get five each and Paul gets four. I would have bought that album. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

Let's pretend the Beatles didn't break up in 1970 and their next albumn was due out later that year. Pick the songs that the 4 beatles wrote individually after the last albumn (abbey road) and throw together what you think would have been the song list for their next albumn. *you can only use songs that were written after aug.22, 1969 and before the release of any second solo albumn a Beatle put out eg. McCartney can be used, but John Lennon and the plastic ono band cannot since it was recorded and released before the Beatles broke up.

In my opinion, they would have released a single with songs not included on the album. I think this single would be:
A: My Sweet Lord
B: Mother (single edit)

By the way mindgames, I'm pretty sure that plastic ono came out before mcCartney (1969 and 1970 respectively).

http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/nono.gif mindgames is right. The Plastic Ono Band, as a band, was indeed formed in 1969, and released the singles "Give Peace A Chance" and "Cold Turkey", but the albums "John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band" and "Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono Band" were released on the next year. Ringo featured on both and George played guitar on some Yoko song on the second one.

Now the Backstreet Boys realase four or even five singles per album and nobody complains...
Well, except for the listeners, of course. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

Oh my God, they are not... Thanks God they are not!!!
Well, if you want a closer example, George released four singles out of his "Cloud Nine" album ("Got My Mind Set On You", "When We Was Fab", "This Is Love" and "Devil's Radio"), as Paul did with "Off The Ground" ("Hope Of Deliverance", "Off The Ground", "C'Mon People", "Biker Like An Icon")...
Anyway you can always say that two of the singles were released in the UK only and the other two in the US, or whatever... Just use your imagination. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif
