What´s the best George´s solo in the Beatles?

I like so many solos, but my prefers are:

- Till There Was You
- Drive My Car
- Love You To (sitar, os course!)
- Something (always first)

And the riffs:

- Day Tripper
- Ticket To Ride

http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/thinker.gif Didn't Paul play this one? It's good anyhow.

This week, the Beatles greatest hits album, "1", is at number fifty-one on the USA album charts. "Wingspan: Hits and History" by Paul McCartney is at number twelve.

Yes he did. And I think this is a very interesting discussion, but I'm moving it from here anyway, because I think it belongs to "And Your Bird Can Sing". So there you have Bearkat...

OK now we're at the right place... "Till There Was You" is an amazing way of playing the spanish guitar... So it's one of my favorites... I like the solos on "Come Together", "Dig A Pony", "Fixing A Hole", "Something" and lots more. As for riffs, I like "I Feel Fine", "Hey Bulldog", "Day Tripper" and "Ticket To Ride" (yes it was played by Paul) http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/grin.gif

Paul also did amazing solos (like on "Good Morning Good Morning", "Back In The USSR" and "Taxman"), just as George was a very good bassist... Yet another thing to admire The Beatles: their instrumental versatility. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

There's so many good solos in their music. "Revolution" is just one of them. "Ticket To Ride" proved that the Beatles didn't stick with their basic instruments. John, Paul and George all had great guitar solos while with the Beatles.

More solos? "Let It Be", the one in the LP version; "Revolution", the one in the '45 version; "You Can't Do That" (John on lead guitar); "One After 909"... So many more... http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/dance.gif

What about the beginning riff to In My Life? Brilliant.

Off topic, but I think the best guitar solo in any song ever is the solo in Michael Jackson's song Beat It. It was played by Eddie Van Halen.

This week, 'Beatles 1' is at No. 56 in the UK Album charts.
This week, 'Wingspan' is at No. 24 in the UK Album charts.

Didn't Paul play the solo for Drive My Car?
I think the solo for And I Love Her is a masterpiece.
