I know there aren't alot of Floydians out here in Beatleland, but I just have to say yesterday was....amazing. To see my favorite band up there, all four of them, the Real Pink Floyd, playing flawlessly....it was priceless.

I sat glued to my T.V. as they went through four songs (Three of which I love dearly...and "Money")

It was just....astounding. Beautiful. Awesome.

Thank you Dave, Roger, Nick and Rick for letting me see you at least once all together.

The last time they played together was at least 5 years before I was born.

Man..that was awesome.

As I said in another thread I'm not a fan of Pink Floyd in any way but I admit I did enjoy their set the best along with The Who's. A pleasant surprise.Comfortably Numb was my fav!

It was really amazing. No one thought they'd ever reunite. I'm glad they did for a good cause. They still sound amazing! Comfortably Numb is one of my favorite songs of all time, I was so happy to hear them play that!

It truly was amazing to see my favorite non-beatles band reunite. I can't believe it actually happened. They played flawlessly!

Here's to hoping for a final farewell tour! (crosses fingers)

It WAS great - I'm not the biggest Floyd fan in the world, but I do enjoy their music and I definately enjoyed their performance yesterday. They sounded wonderful - amazing - and I'm glad they decided to do this reunion for such a fab cause. Considering they're getting older and haven't played together in years and years, they sounded really good! :smile1:

Wow, thanks for posting the picture...I showed it to my husband, who is a HUGE Floyd fan, and he said, "I never thought I would live to see THAT!"

It was really emotional... the selection of songs was just right, Roger and David looked happy and the audience enjoyed the moment... which was sort of a hypnotic trance. Richard Wright was almost never in the picture though... anyway they sounded great, even though Roger's voice had a hard time singing "Wish You Were Here" (that's why David sings it on the album I believe)... it didn't really matter. It was all great. I believe it was a trascendent moment in the history of popular music, really. :smile1:

I don't think there is any doubt it will be released. In this day and age everyting comes out quite quickly after it happens.

They said the sales of their cd's have sky-rocketed since their performance.1 store said the sales of their greatest hits cd jumped up 1000%!Maybe that will get the ball rolling on them touring. We could only hope!

I was saying the other day that one last new CD from Pink Floyd would be great. I'm not holding my breath though. I saw Pink Floyd at Giants Statium in 1994. The second half of the show was a performance of "Dark Side of The Moon". It was the best second half of a show you could ask for.

I'm a Floydian too and I sure never would have expected ever in my life to see these four people on the same stage again! To me this is the sensation of the decade! Only recently I thought this decade is on the way to the worst ever in recent history, but this PF reunion - even if that is all we will get - made this decade sky-rocket in my personal decade charts!

a little bit of me was hoping Syd would turn up.

This is not gonna happen. Syd is going on well but the moment he is reminded about once having been a member of Pink Floyd, even the bare mention of these two words, he gets overly upset and mental for two weeks (his mother asked the other Pink Floyd members to stop trying to contact him as the effects on his psyche are not good at all...)

Yes that's what I also heard/read years ago.But when the documentary on Syd was shown, which I believe was just last year, I seem to have read that Syd did watch it and even enjoyed it.

I don't think he is quite that bad, not what I read anyway in articles over here, and besides he is not a loon, he is now just a normal guy living with him Mum, don't get me wrong he used to be quite poorly and have mental problems many years ago but not anymore.

This is the most recent pic of Syd I have found, 2002 I think.
