This October, Omnibus Press will release "Conversations With Tom Petty" written by Paul Zollo. This is the first authorized book to focus solely on the life and work of Tom Petty.
Writer Paul Zollo conducted a series of in-depth discussions with Tom about his career, with special focus on his songwriting. The conversations are reprinted here in Tom’s own words.
If you are interested in reading some excerpts from the book you can download them at the link below.

Go to 'news' and you will find it.
It's on Acrobat Reader so can not be copied here.
In the intro Tom writes that it is not an autobiography.
The part about meeting George is really sensational !!!!!! You just gotta read it yourself...but here is a bit
In the book, Tom recalls his first meeting with George literally blew him away - a hurricane hit London on the night they became great friends.
Tom says, "The Hindus think that when you meet someone and you feel really close to them immediately, that maybe you knew them in a past life. And that was how it was with George. We met each other and instantly became really close."
Another thing Tom writes is that George said to him "You know, I am not going to let you out of my life now"
It is a very very special story...I am definitely going to read this book.
