"I said, who put all those things in your head...things that make me feel that I'm mad and you're making me feel like I've never been born...."

The most important equation of our lives:

"And in the end
The love you take
Is equal to the love
You make"

One of my favorite phrases is "You're asking me will my love grow I don't know I don't know you stick around now it may show I don't know I don't know"

------------------
" Are you a mod or a rocker?"
" No I'm a mocker."

" Go to the window... Go to the window."

"Oh won't you please, please help me!"-Fred

"I'm not dead yet."

"In their eyes there's something lacking,
What they need's a damned good whacking!"

Also:

"And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make!"

Does a solo song count? My favorite phrase from any song comes from John's "Beautiful Boy" -- "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." Very profound, and so true...

There are so many that I don't know where to start.

The funniest line was "fixing a hole in the ocean" from Glass Onion. That line always makes me laugh.

For any situation, there is a Beatles lyric that applies.

"In My Life" has some of the finest lyrics in creation. I just LOVE "She Loves You" and it remains one major favorite to this day.

On the Rubber Soul album (the GEM of 1965), each of the songs have nonpareil lyrics.

"tell me that you want the kind of things that money just can't buy" - Can't Buy Me Love, 1964

"I don't wanna sound complaining, but you know there's always rain in my heart" - Please Please Me 1963

There are just too many. This is just for starters.

This is from the song "Girl" right? If so, I
believe what it means (or what John is trying
to convey..) is that by the time a man
sweats his "---" off and finally gets home
from a grueling day, wants to totally please
his gal, etc. it's frustrating if her attitude is on the negative side and she's
"lifeless". Meantime, here's a B. phrase
I've always liked:

"A lifetime is so short, a new one can't be
bought, but what you've got means such alot
to me"-- from "Love you to" (by G.H.)

"If the sun has faded away, I'll try to make it shine"

"I've got blisters on my fingers!!!!!"

All the money's gone, nowhere to go.............but oh that magic feeling! nowhere to go........One sweet dream, pick up the bags, and get in the limousine. Soon we'll be away from here, step on the gas and wipe that tear away. One sweet dream, came true, today, came true, today, yes it did ah ah ah...1 2 3 4 5 6 7, all good children go to heaven......" (This song is my favorite at the moment haha)

"HEY! You've got to hide your love away"

"When I get to the bottom I go back to the top of the slide"

"Pools of sorrow, waves of joy are drifting through my open mind, POSSESSING AND CARESSING ME" - love the way he sings that. All the lyrics to Across The Universe are my favorite lyrics ever.

"Strange days indeed!" John solo but I love those.
"No longer riding on the merry go round" also John solo but yes.
"Sunrise doesn't last all morning. A cloudburst doesn't last all day." George solo but yes haha.

I'll keep adding.

And so it's true, pride comes before a fall
I'm telling you so that you won't lose all

'Take a sad song and make it better',
and 'When you find yourself in the thick of it; help yourself to a bit of what is all around you', and 'Look into a swayback tulip, to see how the other half lives'.

follow her down to a bridge by a fountain
where rocking horse people eat marshmallow pies
everyone smiles as you drift past the flowers
that grow so incredibly high

words are flowing out like
endless rain into a paper cup, they slither while they pass
they slip away across the universe

pools of sorrow waves of joy
are drifting thorough my open mind

nothing's gonna change my world

man you should have seen them kicking edgar allan poe

how does it feel to be one of the beautiful people

making all his nowhere plans for nobody

say the word love

she's leaving home bye bye

"I've got blisters on my fingers!!!!!"

"Out of college, money spent, see no future, pay no rent.

"Strange days indeed!" John solo but I love those.

I love all of those! Especially "You Never Give Me Your Money" one :teeth1:

"And he never listens to them, he knows that they're the fools..."

"Living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see. It's getting hard to be someone but it all works out, it doesn't matter much to me."

I completely agree with that one.

And, of course,

"Sitting in an English garden, waiting for the sun, if the sun don't come you get a tan from standing in the English rain."

"And in her eyes you see nothing, no sign of love behind the tears, cried for no one, a love that should have lasted years. "

It never gets any credit, but "For No One" is lyrically easily one of the best things Paul has ever done. Especially that line.

This happened once before when I came to your door
no reply they said it wasn't you
but I saw you peep through your window

i saw the light

the magical mystery tour is waiting to take you away
waiting to take you away

Llttle child little child
little child won't you dance with me
i'm so sad and lonely baby take a chance with me

each day just goes so fast
i turn around it's past
you don't get time to hang a sign on me
love me while you can before I'm a dead old man

"She said 'You don't understand what I said', I said 'No no no, you're wrong.'"

I like the use of words in that one...
