Is there anyone out there who has the “Real Love” Maxi CD single who could check a lyric for me? I have two copies of this CD and right now I can only find the one that I purposely left sealed. I have a copy already opened around here someplace, but since I haven’t been able to locate it, I’m about to crack the seal on this back up copy. Before I do that, I thought I’d check with you forum fans. What I need to listen to is the opening spoken passage to Yellow Submarine that was added for the Anthology mixes. I would like to verify if I have misquoted Ringo or if he deliberately mixed up the following words. I wrote that he says “And we will march to free the day to see them gathered there, from Land O'Groats to John O'Green, from Stepney to Utrecht, to see a Yellow Submarine.” Or was that a transcription error on my part, and does he really get the names of these places correct and actually say “from Land’s End to John O’Groats”? Any help would be appreciated.

Well, I accidentally located my "already opened" copy of the maxi single just now and have verified that indeed Ringo does make a play on the names and is indeed saying "From Land O'Groats to John O'Green" but there are a number of other words in there that are questionable, so if anyone else has this CD and can give me a second opinion on how you would transcribe the spoken passage, I'd be grateful.

Thanks Tim! I noticed on the "favorite movie" forum (where I'll be posting a response in agreement with you soon) that you mentioned a Yellow Sub website you have. But I don't see it listed in your profile. Am I allowed to ask you to reply with the URL?
